Arlene Bias Montgomery
Arlene Bias Montgomery, of Muskogee passed away September 20, 2009. Arlene was born July 14, 1923 in Garden City, South Dakota to the late Alma Josephine and William Barkley.Arlene graduated from Burroughs Accounting School in Kansas City, where she met her first husband. After moving with him to Muskogee to open his dental practice, she attained both Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Art and Education from Northeastern State College. She taught 4th and 5th grades at Houston Elementary School and French at Muskogee Jr. College, before a long career as the Art instructor at West Junior High
