Andy Page Steve, I was on a pirate ship in the West Indies for talk like a pirate day. They never heard of it, but the rum started to flow and we were all talking like pirates. Every island has their own rum and beer. I cannot remember which one I liked best.

I think of Benjie often and still have a hard time thinking that he's gone.

It was tough getting in my kayak and floating the river without Benjie being there with me.

I went to a football game last night in Broken Arrow and thought about all of the times Benjie and I would do that together.

Seems like only yesterday that we'd be doing something together.

I talk to Cindy once a week or so. They're all doing about the same. It's tough on all of them, but they're strong people and will make it.

I'm going to Vietnam on the 7th of Oct with Benjie's brother James. We'll have a great time and share memories of Ben.

Chris, I miss my best friend every day - many is the time I'll see or hear something and wonder what his opinion of it would be, or I'll think of something he'd find riotously funny...I guess it's best to think of those who care for us as a gift instead of a given. It's wonderful and remarkable that they touched our lives at all - so many have no one who loves them unconditionally. But, of course, I am greedy and I wish John Alan Rivers were still on the same path as mine, instead of the next plane of existence w. all the adventure that must entail...I wish all I've loved well, but wish I could have them near in more than just memory.

I hope you and Benjie's brother have a good trip to Vietnam.
