revved up like a deuce makes sense for a Springsteen lyric.

Haven't been there in a while. I don't go out much. I'm not even a block away from there.... Overton Ridge & Bryant Irvin.

Just saw in the paper this morning that Mike Walker's dad passed away. Keep he and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Song of the Day

On Monday I posted two songs with the cover song being a huge hit over the original. Here is another pair. The song "Shameless" was written and recorded by Billy Joel, but when Garth recorded it the song launched his career into the stratosphere.

Dwayne, good luck finding a job in broadcasting. I think you'll do excellent in that field of work. And thanx for all the great music. You're teaching me things I wouldn't know otherwise! ;-)

I was saddened this weekend to hear of the death of fellow saxophonist Mike Keith. Played with him in the '85 Chamber of Commerce Jazz Band. Good musician and a good friend. He used to be married to Karen Keith.

Just in case anyone would like to know, it is official,

Thanks guys. Still trying to get home. Flights are too booked up to get me to Tulsa.

So sorry to hear about your dad, Chris.

On a happier note, congratulations to Grandma Debbie! How about Michael for a middle name?

And my own good news--my youngest son is now gainfully employed at Whole Foods, a store he once mocked. But he likes it, because he can have any color hair he wants, there's no uniform, and he can leave in his piercings. That boy does make a mama proud. Also, he broke up with his girlfriend--woo hoo!

Chris, Sorry to hear of your Fathers death. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers and let me know if I can help you in any way.

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

I'm so sorry Chris. Be safe on your travels home.

Congrats Julie! Things are looking up!

Middle name: I like Michael. Goes well with Aidan.
