Joanie Brown (Edwards)

Snow stop us? No way! But it's your house so it's up to you.
Tresa, no I don't. Give me some clues and maybe I can find my way.

Has anyone seen 'Knowing'? We saw Duplicity and it wasn't that great. Not horrible but just not really great.

03/27/09 08:55 AM #2416

Julie Stiglets (Reagle)

A teacher at school saw Knowing and Duplicity and didn't like either one. I have Slumdog and 7 Pounds at home to watch this weekend.

What's up with this snow business?? Yuck!

03/27/09 09:46 AM #2417

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

Slumdog is wonderful. Can't report on 7 pounds.

About the snow...people will hit the stores and buy enough food to get snowed in for 2 months. What is that about? Do they really not have enough food at their houses to live for 2 days until it all melts?

There is some kind of yuck falling from the sky and sticking on my windshield. The wind is howling out of the north and the wind chill is already 24 degrees. Looks like I will be forced to complain about KS weather one more time this year. I guess I'll crank up the fireplace once again. Is it too early in the day to start drinking wine? JB?

It's still better than those poor people in North Dakota who are about to see everything they own go under water.

Years ago, when I was with Anthony's, they offered me a store in Fargo. They said that they would send the company plane down and fly me up there to look at the store and the town. I remember that it was late September or early October and that there was a nip in the air here. The idea of facing a long hard cold winter in Fargo didn't strike me as appealing. I turned down the plane ride and declined the store offer. I told the higher beings during a high pressure conference call that they couldn't take a boy from Oklahoma and send him that far north and expect him to survive. Turning that store down cost me...it was two years before they offered me another one.

Did I make the right decision? Probably. They closed that store a year later.

Dwayne, you're not asking me to mix your drink?
I'm hurt.

I can't imagine your Okie accent mixed with Fargonian.

Dwayne Smither

KB, now that it is afternoon, I guess it's ok if you mix Captain Morgan and Code Red.

I've been to Muskogee last 3 weekends to visit the parents. Have to try and make the next shindig.
BTW, my neice who lives in Muskogee said she went to Blockbuster and the mayor waited on her!

Joanie Brown (Edwards)

Hi, Joel. Good luck with that soccer game tomorrow.

I still don't know where Susan lives so I guess I won't make it tomorrow.

Julie, I really should have listened to your friend's movie review. Unless you have $8 and 2 hours you absolutely want to waste, don't go see 'Knowing'. What an odd film. I wouldn't even recommend renting it when it comes out.
