My dad was a truck driver for many years and Jeff was a friend of his. I didn't even realize I had gone to high school with him until I read this. When my dad developed health problems and moved to Norman to live with me, Jeff remained friends with him and called him several times just to check in with him. It shows great character that he would take the time to call and visit. When he drove through close to Norman, he would stop by the house to see him. Those visits and phone calls meant a lot to my dad because he felt like he had left his life and home behind when he had to move away from Muskogee. I will always appreciate those small gestures from Jeff.
