Katherine M. Hulse Browne

First degree after HS was in Drama/Dance and I was divorced from Dick Fregulia shortly later. We shared custody of my two oldest children. Married Richard Browne, also a dancer, in 1980 after several years together. We adopted our son, Andy. I got my Masters Degree in 1981 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist. Did private practice in Bay Area, then Chico, Ca. for 10 years, before moving to Bakersfield and a full time job with Kaiser's new Psychiatry Department. Retired from there and Richard and I enjoy biking,movies and visits to the grandchildren now. I might reopen a private practice again, we'll see how
the ever so much fun, arthritis, treats me!

Loved being a Pom Pom Girl (now called dance teams?) It was scary, but also exciting to help put together routines and be out on field at half time. I enjoyed
the thrill of being close to the game also. Trying to remember place where many of us went to dances with live music, out in the country. Some Grange Hall or
Recreation Hall. The bands from Vallejo were so awesome! Of course loved our own home grown bands also! I think if more teens today had regular places to dance to live music,they would be happier and get into less trouble.

Remember being voted "Most Controversial" with Gary, but then photos were labeled wrong in year book! Not sure if I was controversial for speaking up in History class or for other less public acts.
