Sammy O'Neil Dent, 76, of Bremerton, WA, died of complications related to COVID-19 on September 03, 2021 in Silverdale, WA. Sammy was born November 11, 1944 in Louisville, KY, to Eldridge and Dorothy Dent. In 2001, he was married to Minerva Calubing Dent in Bremerton, WA.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Minerva Calubing Dent, his brother Gary (Li) Dent, and his three sons Paul O'Neil Dent, Giremine "Ton Ton" Ballestra, and Brian O'Neil Calubing Dent.

So sorry to see another one of our classmates gone. Sammy and I reconnected at the 50th Reunion. Prayers for his family. RIP Sammy!

I received calls from George Rochester and Joy Turner to let us know about Sammy's passing.
He lived in the state of WA and even tho he had his 2 shots, he passed from COVID....RIP Sammy.

So very sad. I didn't know Sammy well, just through my husband Darrel. He was always very nice when we saw him. RIP Sammy. You and Darrel can have nice visits up in Heaven.

I am truly saddened to hear of Sammy's passing. We got to know each other @ Ridgeview. He was friendly and upbeat - always had a smile and time to say hello and talk. I was delighted to see and chat with him at the reunion. It's a shame that COVID cut his life short. The world would be a better place if there were more people like Sammy Dent.
