RUBY KAY MCMULLEN SUTTIE
December 13, 1945 ˜ June 19, 2020

Ruby has been called home to her maker, after her battle with cancer. With mercy, her passing was swift and peaceful.
Ruby Kay McMullen Suttie met the love of her life, David Milton Suttie through is aunt. They started dating for about a year, then were married March 19, 1966.
She was a licensed beautician and loved her job. 2 years later, they had a son, David. 3 years later, a daughter, Sherri. 5 years later, they had another son, Eric.
Ruby enjoyed being a mom, wife, and later a homemaker. Her children and grandchildren were her life.
Always with a smile, accompanying her feisty persona, she and husband, David, enjoyed an adventurous life settling in Vancouver, WA (in 1990?).
Ruby was always a kind person and over the past 20 years had a ”maternal influence” over the golfers at the Lakeview Par 3 golf course, serving food to the golfers each Thursday night during the golf tournaments. She will always be remembered by those golfers, whose lives she touched and that will be her legacy.
Ruby is survived by her husband, David, of 55 years; son, Dave; daughter, Sherri and her husband, Steve from Springfield, OR; son, Eric and his wife, Kristin of Vancouver, WA; and 7 grandchildren, Colby, Caden, Ammie, Tanner, Gabriel, Emma and Sean.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Ruby in July, date not determined at this time.
Donations and remembrances can be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Diane Raymond (Ball)

I wa extremely shocked and saddened by this news.  Ruby and I were friends in High School and we reconnected at the 50th Reunion.  We, then, started messaging on Facebook.  I had intended on visiting Ruby and her husband at their home in Vancouver, since I visit my son in Eugene, OR and my older brother in Redmond, WA, every 4th of July, however,, Ruby canceled telling me they had to do some work on their Mobile Home.  She never once mentioned the fact that she had been diagnosed with Cancer, wanting to keep that to herself and family.

I will miss our talks on Facebook!
