KENNETH J. BOHANNON, 74

Kenny was born on April 16, 1945 in New Albany and died on August 18, 2019 in Alexandria, VA. following a year long battle with metastatic adenocarcinoma.

Ken graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Chemistry and was commissioned in the US Air Force in 1970.  After 23 years of military service, which includid a Titan Missle command, an MS degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Lieutenant Colonel Bohannon retired in 1993.  Ken continued his career at Lockheed Martin, the Central Intelligence Agency and the U.S. Department of State, retiring for the last time in 2014.

Over Ken's lifetime he traveled to 36 countries, enjoyed flying planes, parachuting, riding camels and elephants, rafting the Nile, hot air ballooning, cycling, hiking, mountain climbing, running, motorcycling, sailing, paddling, in-line skating, skiing, golfing, tennis, shooting pool and playing bridge.  He also had a love of art, music, poetry, history, archeology, investing in the stock market, and fixing things.

Ken is survived by his wife Linda, son Justin, step sons Erin and Brian Hutchinson, five grandchildren, sister Carol and brother Donald.

Ken will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery .
