my pre party starts on wednesday... anyone have 48 hours to kill?

carl, i was surprised at the lack of gloating and whining as well... the only thing worse than a sore loser is a poor winner. and i am proud of all of you LOSERS from u of m... hahaha... actually, i dont care about either team, but it was still fun to watch.

did you know that i had several hundred touchdowns in college? (get it, airplane touchdowns)

Lee and I will be driving up to Michigan on that Wednesday before the reunion so if there's anything going on, let me know.

the night before thanksgiving? there is a TON going on!

10/28/08 04:53 PM #622

Jennifer Schwab

Well, preferably something that won't involve a lot of driving since we'll have driven 5-6 hours just to get there.

Heidi Gipprich (Baldwin!)

how far is the hotel from Whitney?

10/28/08 05:45 PM #624

So, Wednesday night before Thanksgiving in Royal Oak??
I'm flying in on the Monday before and don't leave until the Monday after. At this rate, I'll need another week off to recuperate.
Hey Spartans...I think the first round should be on the UMers.

But what about us Bulldogs? We just get no love.

I've figured out the message board. All you have to do is mention DRINKING and boom...Murphy, Meldrum, and Miller chime right in. As soon as Juice and Maki wake up at the U-M golf course and realize the game is over, they'll throw in some pre-party thoughts.

I'm throwing out a Murphy-esc challenge. Chime in, in the next 12 hours and your first round of beverages at the Motor Bar (hotel bar at the Book) is on me. See you all in 4 weeks!

Mike, with this class you better be prepared. A bud light will set you back $5. Anyway, Grey Goose on the rocks please.

Kenneth Ringel

Jim- you better find the Goebel's, the clock is ticking!!

I'll see if I can get down there to check out the bar this week. I'm downtown quite a bit. I have a client that is close by, I'll see if he wants to hit it for lunch. I'll give you a report.

I took some pictures of the Book from the roof of the Opera House last week. If Heidi can give me the picture posting tutorial again, I'll throw them up. From the outside the place looks fantastic.

I would also suggest stopping at Union Street in between pre drinks and the Whitney. It is two blocks from the Whitney and the place has a great bar. One of my usual hangouts.

By the way, I'll have a Bell's Amber.

Oh I love Union Street. Man, I miss home.

If all the lurkers step up I may need to plead hardship and get Jeff's extra ticket.

Heidi Gipprich (Baldwin!)

ummmmm Stella! We had a keg of Stella at our wedding Jen, everyone else was on their own ;)

Don't forget party-ables for the after party!

Sarah Riley (Goemaere)

I have 6 hockey games for the day of the reunion. I am still trying to decide if I can do it all that day. Of course our hockey rink has a bar.... maybe I"ll start early.

Amy Busby (Prestridge)

Mikey,

You do know how to tempt, don't you...? Very clever!!

I would like a glass of White Zin, please!! I have to pace myself or I'll be in trouble.

Have a great day everyone!

10/29/08 09:29 AM #641

James Belt

Kenny- You cannot get Goebel any longer. It was bought out by Pabst. Will that do? You have to go to the reunion. Everyone else, please get on Ken's ass about this.

10/29/08 09:33 AM #642

Jennifer Schwab

Morning all. Here's the song of the day. It's Pat Benatar's "Heartbreaker" from her 1979 album In the Heat of the Night.

Who didn't want to be Pat Benatar? Or at least as tough as she seemed? I'll admit it. I totally wanted to be Pat Benatar... singing into my hairbrush in my room. And that huge voice, you'd have never guessed she was all of 5 foot zero and 95 pounds.

Don't you mess around, no no no!

10/29/08 04:36 PM #643

Christine Meldrum (Babisch)

Mike,
Ohhhhh did I miss the 12 hour window???? If not then I would like a mojito please.....Speaking of drinking, I just purchased a 1001 cocktail recipe book with "pictures" from a book fair today. How ironic. Although I have to be careful with the Rum and Vodka drinks because my other personalities tend to come out quicker according to my husband. Whoopsie.

Sooooo Jeff, where is the pre-party at in Royal Oak???? Since I will not be cooking because I have to reserve my energy for the reunion I might come out to play.
