Merry Christmas everyone. For those in the metro area and a fan of the radio talk show personalities Deminski and Doyle, they will be having a New Years eve party at Snookers in Utica to celebrate their return to radio on 94.7 starting January 5. Party starts at 7pm but I'm going earlier to (hopefully) beat the crowds. Just a FYI for those interested.

No worries Kris...I knew what you meant. And I'm sure we'll get back to our usual chatter soon. I, for one, am battling a nasty cold. I'm covered in vicks and I need a nap. Its not pretty.

What's everyone doing for New Year's Eve?

hi kris and lisa! i'm still here too. i check in fairly often. but yeah, everyone is busy i'm sure. for new year's eve i always go to dinner with my p's, then usually to lisa's parents house for a party. i spent many years before gavin was born going to hall parties or other events. they were lots of fun, but now i enjoy his little kisses at midnight. ok kris, guess i'm corny too! ha! whatever you all do, just be safe. :-)

and when i returned, i was presented with scotch and beers so we stayed up and gambled till 5am... cousin bruce cleaned everyone out by winning somewhere in the neighborhood of 500....

nothing crazy happened, no toplessness no puking...

Hi people! It's good to hear from you again! Hope you're all enjoying the holidays. I'm spending my time trying to wait patiently for all the melted snow that seeped under my house to stop inviting itself into my basement. I wonder how long I'll have to try to be patient. I already tried tantrums, screaming and very bad words and none of it seems to work. I'll probably try them again just to be sure.

Lisa - I hope you're feeling better soon!

Nicole, sorry to hear about the water in your basement. Don't use bad words to make it stop...try Spanish instead. It seems to work on this board ;-)

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and have a happy new year.

Nicole - Don't worry my friend, you're not alone on the whole water in the basement thing! After the big "melt" on Saturday we woke up to about 4 inches of water in our basement, as well. Just rainwater, thank God, but looks like we have to dig up some of our basement floor to fix it - hope yours is more fixable than that!

Hey all haven't been here in a while. As you know we had our baby the day before the reunion, then moved a week later. So far we've been without power 2 times. The light in our bathroom has leaked water 3 times (once due to our 1.5 yr daughter plugging the sink above that bathroom and leaving the faucet on (awesome))
And I too shared in our "new" basement "swimming pool" (with Nicole and Kristah) with most of our stuff in boxes sitting at the bottom of that pool! Ahh the joys of a 1927 house. But it's gorgeous. It's like loving your kid even though they just pee'd on your couch.
Anyway, a very Happy New Year to all of you. It will be a fantastic year, and I'm so glad we have all reconnected.
Murph let me know when the next shirtless poker game occurs. I love being topless at your place.

Chris- I'm swearing in every language I know. None of them seem to work so far but I'm not giving up on that yet. I'm also extracting as much water as I can right now and making arrangements for a professional cleaning service to come in after it stops. But that's just the backup plan in case the very bad words don't work.

Krista- oh no! Digging up some of your basement sounds like a big, expensive project. Is that because you need to put in a pump or something or is it just to repair damage? We don't have to go to that extreme, but our basement is carpeted so we need to dry that and the pad out and likely replace one or both. Unfortunately the water is still seeping in and there's no way to tell when it will end. Thus, all the swearing. I really hope you're able to resolve your problem quickly.

Carl- oh no! What a huge f****** bunch of bull**** to have to deal with right now! I hope you and Lori are hanging in there. What's the little guy's name again?

Happy New Years Everyone!
Hope everyone has a very happy and safe New Year. What is everyones's plans??

Hey Jen, you and your family were like Santa. The doctors at the cancer center are still talking about your family. They couldn't believe you guys came in that weather and they couldn't believe all the toys you donated. Your family is really amazing and made so many kids smile. So thank you again for your help. I really am sorry I didn't get to meet up with you and your family so Juliana could meet you guys. Maybe next time!

Also, Happy Birthday Chris Meldrum and Jeff Zukowski. Have A great Year..

Happy New Year everyone! Hope the basements are dry and the drinks are flowing! We too have had the basement flooding issue 2x - curiously both when my husband was away. Had to pull up the carpet both times. I feel your pain!!!

Hope 2009 brings everyone happy times, job security and healthy friends and family.
