Lol. They probably are. I don't think I was involved in very many float makings. I wish I had been though.

I have two kids in high school...floats aren't made with big trailers any longer. This year their school is using shopping carts. Too many parents were doing the work.

Lisa, I think you had the junior float party and I had it our senior year. My parents have a lot of pictures from the float party. I will have to dig them out and post them.

We used my BIG ORANGE truck to tow the float and when we were going to the parade someone hit the tree in my drive way and the mirror fell off. The mirror was hanging in the tree. LOL! Memories!

Shopping carts? I don't even understand that. lol. Yeah, I think you're right Stacy. Lisa's was Junior year.

Lisa Miller (Shedlock)

Hi Stacey! THAT's right. I don't remember us doing much of the work either.
Shopping carts? Hopefully they don't get the one with the bum wheel.

or with the boot! shopping carts down here have boots on them that lock up when you try to take them out of the grocery store parking lot!

i wish i had invented that!

its Thrrsday night. The reunion committee met tonight. Special gusest Jeff murphy. Yep, we had a few cocktails. Be sure you all have a driver after the event. I was with Cathy Karry, Joanne Perry, Tina Huff, and surprise guest Bruce Murphy '87. Woo Hoo!

Went last night to the float party with my daughter. Yes, the parents do ALOT of the work. And, make ALOT of food...lol. Last year, I twisted a thousand of those darn flowers! Wish they used shopping carts might be less work. But, it's all fun for her. Too bad, she's missing the game and dance to go hunting instead. My oldest is doing all the fun homecoming rituals(her senior year), especially getting her hair done for the dance. I just dont remember all that stuff, but its fun watching them do it all. And, as I am typing this they are standing over my shoulder laughing because Dakota beat Anchor Bay.....darn teenagers. Gonna go pack them a crappy lunch for that comment...lol.

Guys-- I will be at the game with the family. Pre-game drinks won't work, but more than happy to go to the pump after.

Mike-- I will try and find the ugliest hat for ya. No worries.

Lisa-- My wife always takes numerous pictures. I should have plenty to share.

Good morning Anchor Bay alumni. Everybody working hard this Friday morning? Because you know what you're working for? The weekend, that's what. So breakout your terrycloth headbands kids, because the song of the day is Loverboy's "Working for the Weekend" from 1981's Get Lucky.

Rock on!

Kimberly Loch (Boettger)

Jenn- Now, due to being on my first cup o' joe and not having my eyes and brain fully 'working', not only do I have "Workin for the Weekend" stuck in my head, but "Workin' for a livin'" by Huey Lewis and the News. I told the hubby I had to catch up on reading this 'mess'age forum (love the daily songs btw) and he informed our children that I have 'retroitis'.

lol... sorry Kim.

carl, kathy, joanne, tina, it was GREAT to see you guys last night!

CARL, thanks for coming back after the haircut, i had a blast last night even though there were injuries... (you missed the barstool dominos) i did get scolded at breakfast today, something about servers and cleavage... cant recall it all right now....
as for the event, it sounds like it is going to be beautiful...

THOMPSON... i am sure that you read Albert Camus before, right? i mean our highschool reading list was pretty intense.... lol.... sarcasm never gets old.

Heidi Gipprich (Baldwin!)

Kim, nothing wrong with retroitis, we all have it and it's fun and fabulous!
Your husband is just jealous!

I loved Loverboy, and that song is still a great song, regardless of how gay it is :)

Yeah Jeff, It did get pretty drunk out last night! And the 10pm haircut did happen this week for those wondering.

Have a good weekend all!

Jeff-
You want to know what I read in high school......Sports Illustrated. And half the time, I just looked at the pictures. I'm much better now though. I read the Washington Post and The Detroit Free Press online every day. Mrs. Butler was an excellent english teacher!

09/26/08 04:28 PM #184

Jennifer Schwab

No Heidi, Loverboy aren't gay... just Canadian. :)

Well Mike, you have me beat... i dont think i read a damn thing in highschool... ugh.... did you watch the debate last night? it sure was a lot more enjoyable than bush/kerry.... it is nice to have 2 candidates that dont irk me. but then again, i am irked easily when it comes to politics....

MILLEN fired! yay! now i will never again have to fly that goofball home on thanksgiving after the game .... bye bye

Hello ABHS-ers. Today's song of the day is Altered Images "Happy Birthday" which you may remember from Sixteen Candles. It's also my friend Christina's 40th birthday today so I've had this song stuck in my head all morning. So why should I suffer alone? :)

Enjoy!

Go Tars!!! Anchor Bay beat Warren Cousino 14-13 on Friday night (Homecomming). Go Blue. Go Green. This is shaping up to be a great football weekend in Michigan. Now if the Lions can only get an upset victory over BYE WEEK tomorrow we will have the weekend sweep. Anyone know what the point spread is in that one?

09/27/08 11:10 PM #188

I almost forgot. Thanks Robin for taking good care of us at the Town Pump after the game. It was fun. Missed you Carl, Chris, Dave and whoever else said they might come out. Wish you could have made it.

Robert Majewski

Dustin, I think the over under is -3, still does not look good for the Lions!!!

Yah, Robin, thanks for the drinks, the bar looks great and to who all are reading, Robin has turned the Pump into a respectable little establishment, that will be a fine place to meet during the reunion weekend. Somehow, we were over served by our own doing, I still feel slushy, ugh!!!

09/28/08 11:36 AM #190

Dustin Maki

Bob, if the over/under is (-3) I'll take the under. I don't see how the Lie-downs can possibly score more than (-2).

09/28/08 02:22 PM #191

Jennifer Schwab

Good morning kids. Today's song of the day is Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round (like a record)".

Enjoy!

Robin-- Thanks for the drinks. As Bob said the bar looks great. To everyone that went, and everyone that didn't, every two weeks or so at the pump sounds good. What do you think?
