Marney you can still play. And Greg you are correct a beer a hole is good but a shot from the flask a hole is better.

"A shot from the flask a hole is better"... a tip of my hat to you, Evan. I have yet to be that brave on the course. Now I REALLY wish I was able to play with you guys!

Depends on what the shot is??????

Ok so we have 7 people for Golf including Evan and Marney. A beer a hole? Hmmm this could get really interesting - better bring lots of golfballs. Please let me know if you are interested in playing as I can call back and increase the number of slots. If we have enough for a "group outing" we may be able to get a better rate and a shotgun start.

Here's a thought since I was so casually slid into the Decorating Chair: How about a scavenger hunt for items from the 80's and items that was kept from our Grad year? I need suggestions to comprise a list on the items people may still have from 1988 though.

Evan, could you spare a prize or two for the person/s that brought the most memorabilia?

I have some nice pics of me & Thomas at our Senior Prom (aand the gang).... does that count? Also, just found my senior shirt, remember that?

Marney Page (Hagen)

Thomas, count my husband in too please!

07/22/08 02:21 PM #50

Evan Endicott

Kim I can bring a prize or two, as long as everyone is comfortable about it being golf clubs.

OK!**@! My husband has to make it to a wedding and you numbskulls BETTER make it to the reunion so I can see you! Well, the wedding is at the Bandit! Just give him enough time to nap and shower and I will pick him up there:-) Greg and John might need a few golf balls for the skeet golfing.

Great beginning. Thanks, Guys.

I'll attain a display for the pictures. I know I would enjoy a few words written and attached explaining the event, but not necesary if you don't have the time.

Once I get enough suggestions for the Scavenger list, I'll ask to have it posted and give a time for turn in. If you agree, I'd like to use them as well in the decor.

Evan, charitable contributions are not to be turned away. I appreciate any offers and Golf Clubs are quite generous. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I've got a few B&W pics stashed away somewhere from when I was photog on the yearbook. Maybe I can dig some up.

Better make sure we have some designated drivers for these events, or a taxi service...you all do want to live to go to the next reunion, right?

I still have my Sr. T-shirt, and some mums from Homecoming, and a wooden "note" that says "Class of '88" from Choir. My other memorabilia is packed away in storage.

Whatever happened to that crazy Algebra teacher that threw desks across the classroom? Anyone remember him? And that Biology teacher that also drove a bus - what was his name?

07/22/08 11:47 PM #58

Michael McFarland

The Biology teacher was J.R. Nolte. He was too cool. Amazing what you remember after 20. You know yall could play Jackpot golf. Throw in 20 bucks each, 1$ each per hole and 2$ each for the final score. Then you take the weaker golfers, like Marney, and figure out their handicap( maybe spot her a couple of strokes a hole. Whatever is fair. I have never played golf. I'm just really good with math and money(not spelling). Count me out on the golf, don't have clubs and don't play. I am interestd in taking my nieces and my wife thiuh the Natural Bridge Wildlife.

Marney, I have your husband added and also John, I got you down also. Kitty called and I have her husband Joe C. also. The more the merrier. If we get enough we may do a 2 or 4 man scramble. Lance any word on Little Rhino tracks?
Marney, pics of prom??? My wife can't wait to see those.

07/23/08 10:03 AM #60

Evan Endicott

Okay so in searching for the "Little Rhino" on Google it appears that Mark Salter is John McCain's right hand man. I didn't know he went from taping ankles to politics. His first name was Mark right? I will continue to search. My dad is still in the class ring business and has run into a few people from CHS back in the day. I will check with him to see if I can get any leads. By the way, if anyone had my mom for English, Speech or Drama let me know how you are. I told her about the site and reunion and she is more excited than I am. She is asking about everyone.

07/23/08 10:19 AM #61

Evan Endicott

Thomas, I think I found Doc. I just e-mailed a Mark Salter at Klein Collins high school. I will keep you posted on if this is the Rhino.

Evan,

I think you're right on the Klein Collins and that is here in Houston not too far from where I live - crazy. Let us know if he responds. Tell your Mom I said hello.

WOW! Some of you guys have way too much time on your hands. LOL! I wish I had more time to blog with you guys, but hopefully will see you all soon.
I'm in for pretty much anything water, so tubing sounds good to me. My husband would love to go for a ride, but we don't have a scooter, he use to race motorcross.
Are we sure that our group won't get into too much trouble for noise and/or other behaviors at the golf corse?

07/23/08 08:00 PM #64

Pamela Murrow (Stokem)

Geesh, Greg, just read your "note" about guns, is it a disclaimer, are we suppose to sign somewhere? LOL

Hey all - I just found out I'm going need surgery rather quickly. It's on August 6th, and recovery time could be up to two weeks. I might have to miss the reunion. I'm pretty upset about it, but I can't put this off. I was sure hoping to get re-acquainted with many of you, and maybe start some new friendships. It's been neat reading all the posts and looking at your profiles, photos and seeing how we've all changed over the years. I hope that you all will stay in touch with me, and if by chance I can recover well enough to attend, I will. Blessings to all, and be safe.
