Hey Mike- for not being a golfer you sure have a lot of ideas about how they could play the game. If you want to sign up, you can use my clubs and if I am available I'll rent a cart and drive you around the course. It would be worth it to see you thrash a set of clubs. And I wouldn't worry about being too noisy on the golf course, after all, everyone is all grown up, right? I can vouch for the people that run the Bandit, they are pretty tolerant.

nope still not interested in regular golf. How bout speed golf, I have my running shoes. I know golf polo. one guy drives the cart, and the other one wacks the ball while driving. You only need one club and no one is tired at the end of the game. Do you thonk we can get enough teams together. The old lady can play golf the "regular" golf with them if she wants to. She actually did play, but she would have to have a handicap, and she doesn't drink very much.

Rebecca,
Speedy recovery for you. Hope it isn't too serious. I'll say a prayer for you.

Mike,
Dude! Take John up on the club offer! I'll go in with John on the golf cart. I would LOVE to see you trash a set of clubs!!

I hope someone is thinking of bringing their digital to take pics of these side events. I may have to be a spectator at the golf course so I can get a good laugh.

My prayers are with you for a speedy Recovery, Becky. It would be a pleasure to see you again.

Becky, sorry to hear about the surgery. I'm sending you my thoughts/prayers/karma/vibes/all-of-the-above that you feel better soon! Bummer if you can't make it, but don't strain yourself before you're ready to be up and around.

Golf Update:

Here is who I have for Golf: Rob S., Randy E., Shayner the Crasher, Mark S., Marney and Hubby, Joe C., Darrell R., John R., Mario P. and myself. You will need to be there ready to tee it up at 8:00 a.m. sat. morning. We should be done at noon before it gets too hot. I have been informed (and have to tell you)by the Bandit that no outside beverages are allowed and that they will have beer and wine to buy. Green Fee including carts is $59+tax/golfer. We may do a two man "best ball" (at least on the back 9 as by that time, Marney will be handing out shots).
Let me know if there is anyone else, including spouses, that is interested in playing as I will need to have a final head count July 31. Even if you are not sure you are going to make it I can reserve a spot for you now. Cheers!

I regret that I am unable to attend the reunion, it sounds like a lot of fun. Personal matters taking place in my life have my time and my funds rather tied up right now. I wish all the best and I have and always will think of all of you from time to time.

I think I will still skip the golf, I apppriciate the offer on the clubs though. I think I will stick a scooter ride a a cruise though the wildlife after that. I think it was nice of Tiffany and familey to offer us a discount. I know she and Kristi have put a lot of work into this and nobody should take that for granted. We all owe them a debt of thanx, as well as their helpers they have enlisted along the way. Sorry to hear that Rebecca and Ron may not make it. We will keep our fingers crossed and say our prayers for you.

Okay, so we've got scooters and golf and guns... oh my! What about the poor, neglected rivers? Won't somebody think of the rivers? :)

As duly elected (by the power of Kristi) "Toobing Czar", I need to look like I'm doing something to deserve the title. Who's interested in toobing Saturday morning? So we can get a tentative head count. Granted, it won't be as fun as "shot a hole", but hey... what is?

Many thanks to Kristi and Mike for the info and to Kitty's sister for trying to get us a group discount rate for the toobing. Let's see if we can get enough people involved to warrant the potential discount.

Mike, interested in a "Deputy Toobing Czar" position? I know you meant "Rod" won't be at the reunion (bummer, I would have liked to catch up), but I will. Unless that was a Freudian thing and you're trying to dissuade me...

Playnig golf makes me want to shoot something, so I will opt out of golf in favor of throwing lead down range. Plus, if you can't bring your own booze to play golf there's really no point.

Funny. Golf has the same effect on me. That and..........

The boss lady is on call that weekend so as long as I can find someone to look after the little wild man, the other two and I will be at the range, they can learn to shoot the single action revolver. They have been to Dietz range before. I will probably only bring rimfire that day but will have two bolt actions with me as well. Anyone unfamiliar or otherwise is welcome to shoot them while I am there. As for scoot and shoot, we be on all four.

I'll bring my HK .40 and see if I can get my brother's Glock .45 in case someone wants to make big holes in paper. I'l bring lots of lead.....

Boy, have I hit the mother load! Let's see...'Cougar Tales', 'The Paw Print', football program, newspaper clippings that date back to elementary at Comal, all of YOUR baby and graduation pictures, lots of our yearbooks, the senior slide show, CHS 10 year reunion directory, lots of old photos that I took in school (lots of big hair dos and big glasses...you are not alone Ron :-)---LOL (lots of love...like it used to mean in the old days) Which brings me to one of the greatest finds of all....one BIG bag and one file box completely full of old letters from school....hmmm...let's see what kind of good ole' scoop I can dig up, I might just find the old dog tag and necklace that my first middle school boyfriend gave me (yeah that's you Clint). And I did find that high school sweetheart's senior class ring. I thought about putting tape on it and wearing it to the reunion, but didn't think Mark would approve of that so I will leave that one up to Tiffany, at least she won't get in trouble.

The Madonna pictures are in the house! (Thanks to an anonymous sender)

Hello classmates,
I love the variety of fun that is happening on our reunion weekend. I wanted to play some golf with you guys and marney but now that I am all grown up and have to act like a resposible adult I have to work that morning with dance registration for Herman Sons School of Dance here in N.B. Take lots of pictures guys that day so I can feel like I was there.
Becky I hope everything turns out okay for you and I will keep you in my prayers and I will keep in touch as well.
Evan, please tell your mom I said hello and that she crosses my mind every now and then. Now that I have a daughter that is going into high school this August, we often discuss favorite teachers we have had and your mom always wins hands down. If I could get her on Oprah as most influential and favorite teacher I would. Tell her to come to the reunion as all of our old teachers are invited as well.
I look forward to seeing everyone again. See you soon.

Sorry Ron, I meant Rod. You know Rodney always kinda reminded me of Spicoli from Fasttimes at Ridgemont High. He had that cool kinda laid back demeanor. Rodney even had the Vans. Alls he needed was the bus. That is purely meant as a compliment Rod. Hope you haven't lost that laid back cool demeanor is this world of ratraces and hustle & bustle. Hey Kristi did you find your Cabbage Patch Kid in that box. Maybe some Keapa's, a Members only jacket, an Izod shirt, maybe parachute pants. I'm not in on the tubing. I only like rafting. Tubing sux. I suggest the Comal for tubing. After some discussion with the wife, we think we will do the full scoot-n-shoot. I think the ole' lady( I think that's German for old lady) wants to practice with the 38. Everyone male & female is welcome at the range. If you don't have a weapon I'm sure someone will safely instruct you on how to use one.

Well, I hate to say it, all I have is some good 'ole juicy letters. As many of those items are making a comeback I really wish I still had them. Threw away those cabbage patches only to have Grandma replace them. I had to buy shoes for my daughter that had the "Kaepa" color replacements and have seen the mini Izod with the collars turned up around town. Just saw a kid trying on "psuedo" Tiddies sandles at Schlitterbahn today. Should have saved them, not to mention, those cabbage patches would be antiques by now (they say 20 years qualifies for aniques) and I might be able to sell them for a pretty penny on e-bay. :-,

I would love to be at the range to watch a girl show you guys up. Please take pictures!

Thanks Greg, Michael and Rob for the checks.

You can take safety classes on-line and even get a certificate with it. My husband made the girls take it before they could go out in the field with him.

Greg--do we want to just pick a time and I can post it on the "Scoot-N-Shoot" tab. Do we have to make any tyoe of reservation at Dietz? Those that are interested can fill out there registration form---Hint! Hint everyone!---and I can take it from there. Just let me know.

Hope Mickey doesn't take all of your money! Oh, forgot to mention Lego land....that is pretty cool to see, we just never made it there with the girls. Think it is downtown Disney not sure. Anyone? I am all out of Disney hints...any suggestions from the gang?

Marney Page (Hagen)

Greg,
I live about 30 minutes from Disneyland... Is that where you are going?

07/28/08 04:20 PM #86

Greg John

Safety classes online?? That doesn’t sound like any fun. No BANG!!!
I learned the hard way but I’ll be nice with beginners just like I am with my ladies. :-D

I don’t think you need to make any reservations at Dietz’s. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there though. Looking like around 7 people so far? I think we could use 2 or 3 lanes in the short gun area. Everyone doesn’t need their own lane. Dunno. Hey Mike! Wanna call ‘em??

Mickey Mouse has already taking LOTS of my money and we haven’t even left yet! I’m pretty sure that since we will be there 6 full days that we will probably cover most of the main parks and I’m betting Lego Land will not be missed. Now If I could just get my scooter in the park so I wouldn’t have to do all that walking…………..

Marney, we are going to Florida so that’s Disney World, right? All I know is I’m pointing my truck and trailer East when we leave Wednesday morning.

edit 17:39 28Jul08:.....
Forgot to mention a good time for the range...... I'm thinking we want to get there as soon as they open in the morning. I don't know about New Braunfels but it's been over 100 here for the past few days and I'd just as soon get there while it's still semi cool. And everyone bring LOTS of water. I figure we could meet up somewhere in town and convoy out there. Any suggestions??

Still want you to call 'em Mike.

as writ above...... "so don't be bashful!"

I'm just posting because I'm not bashful...... :-D

John Gueldner

Greg - Are you sure you are not bashful, you seem a little reserved in your posts.

OK now down to business , last time I was at Dietz was February '08. Open 10 to 6, cost $10 per shooter, that gets you two targets and a pair of foam earplugs. You are on your own for eye protection, and the only take cash. As I said, if I am there I will have two boys in tow with two .22 rifles and a .22 single action. I had my 5 and 10 year olds on the revolver this weekend and they did great for their first time with a handgun.

Dietz was more supervised when I was there in February than I recall it being in the past.

I will try to call. They may have summer and winter hours. Some stretch it longer in certain seasons. I might bring my Swedih 69 long rifle. This is a kool gun.

Si, 69, 65, somewhere in there. Who would have thunk it when we walked across the stage that 20 years later a Toyota would be made in the US, a Ford made in Japan, a Dodge would be made in Mexico, Walmart would be helping to put American companies out of buisness, and the Texas government would be paying companies from other countries to build toll roads and letting them keep the tolls, forever(the toll lease never expires), or that I would know anything about any of these subjects.
