Mary Llamas Short

I went to Wichita Business College, graduated and
went to work for Universal Oil Co. in 1961. In
Jan of 62, I went to work for the Enterprise
Agency. In 1965, Roque Gonzales and I were married and in 1967, I stopped working to
have a family. My daughters were born in
67 and 68. I returned to work in 1972 to my
old job. In 1980, I completed by CLU studies
and purhased half the agency from my employer
(who is now my husband). Roque and I divorced
after 27 years of marriage, an amicable divorce
in 1990. In 1993, George (who was widowed)
and I were married and I continue to run the
business as he is now retired. We travel a great
deal, enjoy art and music, exercise daily and
enjoy our families.

From the time I was in 7th grade, Dee Terrones
(Luna) was my very best friend. She is now back
in town and I am embarrassed we have been
unable to get together.

I do not have any wonderful memories of my
years at Newton High.
