So sad to hear of Chuck’s passing. My prayers go to his whole family. First met Chuck as a young kid spending my summers on the lake at my grandparents. Saw him plenty when I moved out to the lake in the mid 70s. He was always smiling and brought so much enjoyment to many through the years. He was a person that everyone knew and liked! RIP Chuckie! (Aka Charlie)

I am sorry so to hear about Chuck's passing.   We met Sophomore year when he was my lab partner.  Our lives have intersected many times since then.  He was a great guy.  My condolences to his family and any of this many friends.

Charles "Chuckie" Borio Jr. Obituary

Charles "Chuckie" Borio, Jr. January 6, 2020

Devoted and loving husband, wonderful father, brother, dear uncle and friend to many, Charles "Chuckie" Borio, at the age of 67, passed away after a hard fought battle. He never gave up, right up to the end as there is no doubt he did not want to leave this earth. In his final hours, he was surrounded by his son Andrew, as well as family and friends. Charles was born in Syracuse, NY to Charles Borio, Sr. and Edna (Gebhardt) Borio. He was their first born and he lit up their world. Charles was one of four children. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Edna Borio; and wife, Jacqueline (Wells) Borio. He is survived by his son, Andrew Borio, Andrews's fiance, Corinne Rudy; siblings, Amy Borio (Jon Gale), Martin Borio, Mary Beth Borio and the Wells family. Charles was also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces who loved him dearly. Charles was a devoted husband and cared for his wife so tenderly during her difficult illness. He was a partner at Borio's, the family restaurant business for over 40 years. He worked side by side with his Uncle Joe, brother, Martin, cousin Anthony, sister Amy and later with his son Andrew. Charles was happiest when he was together with his wife Jacqueline and son Andrew. He also loved the great outdoors. In his youth he spent many days full of fun while water skiing and snowmobiling on Oneida Lake. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and traveled the country doing so. He loved spending time with his dear friends pursuing similar outdoor adventures and his friends were like a band of brothers. Charles passed away far too young and will be kept close to our hearts forever. Charles will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 10th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at FARONE & SON Inc Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11th, 9 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church Cicero where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

and/or The Lupus Foundation of America. Share condolences at www.faroneandsoninc.com.
