Mitch passed away August 24, 2003 from heart failure in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He was a former television newscaster. He is survived by a son, Jason, a stepson, Brandon, and a stepdaughter, Neely.
I will never forget the first day of 3rd period German class as a freshman. As Herr Whissen was matching names with faces, he told Mitch Farris "you will definitely be the big wheel in this class". We continued to have that much fun the entire year. Mitch was an awesome guy.
Mitch was in my homeroom. He was always very friendly and a pleasant person to be with. I will pray for him and his family. He died much too young! Blessings to all.
