I was saddened to hear Judy had died just days before our 50th "GRAMMAR SCHOOL" reunion at St. Jarlath. I know she was anxious to attend. I will miss her at the 50th Bishop O'Dowd High School reunion. I fondly remember her as a kind and gentle person. I tried to include a picture of the two of us during one of our folk dancing classes at St. Jarlath.
If you are interested in seeing the photo, just send me an Email and I will forward it.

The girls from the "hill" will definitely miss Judy! I laugh to think of the number of times that her Mom, Bea, called my house, looking for Judy who was obviously somewhere else! And, OH! the love traumas that she went through with Norm--always something!

Phil and Geri bring back fond memories of Judy Carstens. Remember her perfectly coifed, naturally curly hair--oh, how I envied that! From the first day I met Judy, she always had a way of making me feel included. She was genuine and kind. I especially enjoyed seeing her at our 20th and 30th reunions--same nice person--same great hair!

Phil mentioned missing Judy at our St. Jarlath's 50th 8th Grade reunion. Only a few weeks before the reunion Judy RSVP'd that she'd attend and soon after we were shocked that she was gone. Many of us in the Class of '60 attended grammar and high school with Judy. She was always a bright light; a light that went out quickly.

I was sad to hear that Judy had passed away.  She was my matron of honor when I got married because at the time she lived in Fairfield and my husband was stationed there.  I also enjoyed being with her because she made life "fun".  But I do remember the time her mother called my mother and complained because Judy's mother thought Judy and I had drank some of the liquor from the bottles and filled it with water so that it would not look like anything had been touched.  Judy and I did alot of fun things but that was not one of them.  But she did teach me to smoke in her car in our Junior year.  I will miss her but never forget her.
