April 1, 2021,

COVID-19 hasn’t been defeated yet, but it’s on its way out thanks to an abundance of vaccines now available, especially for those like us over 75.

We weren’t able to gather for our 60th reunion last year because of the pandemic. Expecting conditions to continue to improve, your ’60 Reunion Committee has scheduled October 15-17, 2021 weekend for our 61st Reunion, our first 5-year celebration since 2015. Put it on your calendar now!

The weekend's centerpiece will be a fancy, but reasonably priced dinner at the Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville on Saturday, October 16th. Club resident and member Bob Chimienti ’60 has arranged for one of the club’s very nice dining venues overlooking the golf course. An hors d’ouerves reception, followed by dinner, will begin in the late afternoon. Our dinner menu selection will be excellent. We expect the evening’s activities and dinner choices, not including beverages, will not exceed $80 to $90 per person. You won’t be disappointed!

A no-host Friday night cocktail reception will be held at a location still to be determined. A Sunday brunch, available to all, is also to be finalized. As soon as details for the weekend are firmed up, we will let you know. A list of nearby hotels will be provided for those wishing to spend the weekend.

Much more to come after we get closer to summer.

To help us get in the reunion mood (as if we need it), O’Dowd has announced an all-alumni Virtual Grand Reunion for Saturday, May 1, 2021. As the resumption of activities at O’Dowd is now increasing, you will be able to join classmates and other alums online for a fun mid-day (time to be determined) get-together. Register for free now at
