Margot Danziger (Brozost)

It is with a heavy heart , my husband Michael (Class of 60), and I share sad news of his brother STEVE BROZOST, CLASS OF 62.

Many of you were friends , sports friends or fraternity brothers of Steve and therefore, we felt you should know that Steve passed away last evening (July 18th).

Steve was in amazing shape most of his adult life, but sadly was hit by a car while on a bike 15 years ago. The accidnet left him paralyzed from the waist down.  In the last few months, Steve fought pneumonia plus numerous other ailments..until his body could not fight anymore and just gave way.  Steve passed peacefully after much suffering.

At OHS Steve was an all around athlete, class officer and just a nice guy.  He remained that way till his passing.

Rick Rossein

Dear Margo and Mike:

My thoughts are with you and your families.

I remember vividly often watching Steve in the OHS gym often doing 200+ push ups and climbing the rope with one hand. He was an inspiration to me to get into better shape for basketball, which some times we played together on the outside courts.

You and MIke will have your fond memories.

With warm regards,

Rick

Dear Mike and Margot;

It is a sad day in learning about Steve, his terrible pain for the last 15 years and of his death yesterday. He was certainly one of the best, a Man for others, always thinking of others first, that was Steve to me. He was always trying to help, guide and counsel me upon my arrival at OHS from Cuba and on the look out for any possible wrong doing from others.

My sincere sympathies to you both and his family.

Ramon

Steve Roberts

Margot,

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing.  Please pass along my sympathy to Mike as well.  Steve was a great guy.  As a fraternity brother, we had lots of activities together and many good times.  He was a heck of an athlete, student and just a very good friend.

As a person who spends a lot of time on a bike, I hated hearing about his accident when Mike told me about it at the reunion.  I'll always remember a young strapping guy with a great smile!

My prayers are with you both.

Steve

Thank you al so much for your kinds words and support. Each message was shared with Michael and he appreciated the fact that you took the time to care and write. Though we may not be "active" in each other lives, the roots from our childhood run deep..You are all so special to me in so many ways and I thank you for caring. Truly a blessing to have you back in our lives.
