Well, I guess I will jump in and see what happens. My hubby and I sold the farm so to speak and bought a normal house in a normal neighborhood. It is actually the first time that we have had neighbors in our back yard. All our neighbors are great, but it has taken some getting used to. We still live in West Point, but all animals are gone except our beloved dog (speaking of dogs, seems like a popular subject at the moment). We have a blue heeler named Bandit. She is getting older like we are and the move has been difficult for her as well as for us, but we have all adjusted. Bandit used to every morning and evening run down to the barn to bark at the horse and goats, letting everyone know who was important. Now she just goes out into the backyard and if she is lucky and the dog of the neighbor's behind us is out they run up and down the fence trying to prove who is most important. She is a very loyal dog and if Charlie is at one end of the house and I at the other, she lays in the hallway in between so she can keep track of us both. Enough of dogs. I also am trying to be more techy person. My son told me several years ago that if I wanted to be a modern grandma, I had to go on facebook. Well, I took the challenge and did. I am not so sure it made me modern, but It helps me keep up with family and friends. I have just updated from iPad 1 to 4. They are both smarter than me, but I am determined to get better. I found a touchfire keyboard online and have ordered one. I am tired of typing with one or two fingers. I guess I will have to practice using it when I get it, to get some speed, but I intend to get at least a C in the class. I will let you know my progress in a few weeks. I also have a smart phone, but again, i think my phone is smarter, but love having it and plan to upgrade when our contract runs out. Just wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed reading this forum page. By the way how many of you have moved to St. George for the winter? Seems like quite a few. I try to go down every February. Maybe we could have a mini-reunion. Just a thought. P. S. The wind is blowing like crazy outside my window. All kinds of things flying in the air. One person who tried to be efficient and put out their garbage cans have send all their garbage and cans down our cul de sac. I feel sorry for our neightbors who live at the end of our road, and for once am glad that Charlie and I are not that efficient. Donna Harbertson Persinger
