Tammy Rader

Yes.. Carpenter,,jumped out a few windows myself Rhonda!
Ok what about Mr. Knowles? does everybody know what he was known for? supplier.........just what I heard.
Coach Allen, he loved to pat all the girls on the behind. Denton was scary, I remember him.

First, SHANDA that was Shawn Jackson (let us have a moment of silence for the deceased)......................................................................................................... Shawn passed away not to long after we graduated. He was always doing things to us, mainly because we were always making fun of him and his friend (his name escapes me). And I do believe on the same day or within the same week I was cleaning the floor with my "heiny" you were placed in the trash can. NOW THAT WAS FUNNY!!!!

I didn't tell anyone about David because I was trying to cover it up just in case he did not like me... Plus, it was all about being wild and crazy with the "grown" guy. We both know who that was????

OHHHHH Mr Broughton. You all just do not know. I had Mr. Broughton in middle school and then I looked up and had him in high school too. I was more than delighted because I knew how much of a push over he was in MS so I pretty much got away with everything. My senior year I had him for Geometry. I always ditched his class so when it came time for my Sr check offs, he was reluctant in signing. I couldn't imagine why. So I kindly told him, "If you want me to have me in here again next year, then don't sign it." He signed it right away and gave me a D. More than fair...don't you think???

High School was great. Some things of course, I wish I could do over but for the most part, I had FUN!!!! But I still have fun now. That's me... "the fun girl." :-))

Tammy, I need you to write my application too. I am currently accepting as well. I just need to let my applicants know that I do have a few more curves in the absolute wrong places.

Oh Yea Coach Denton. I DID NOT LIKE THAT DUDE!!! He was friends with my step-dad (who was also a coach at Douglas High School) so he thought he could use that against me. I always thought he was a pervert too... He just looked like he was thinking bad thoughts toward us girls. LOL

Kylene Cooper (Frantz)

Trent, I think it is great that you feel comfortable enough to speak of your love for Ray...

Laura, I have NO RECOLLECTION OF THAT EVENT with Mr. Cannon.....Ok, I totally do remember it and I feel bad about it to this day.

And I have no further information to divulge about Ray's "friend"....LOL... except I am sure I told you about it when it happened...I mean .... to my friend...My unstable friend...who was also Ray's friend.

Ok, Trent and Tammy

Trent is was a little obvious that you had a crush on Tammy.

Do you guys remember when it was at night, spray paint, NWC parking lot, police office ???? I don't think any of us have told that secret to this day. After 20 years if you guys want to spill the beans go for it. When we were going home Trent dropped me off first, and I thought that was so strange because Tammy lived closer to the school. Then, I realized Ohhhh - he just wanted to get rid of me and have alone time with Tammy :)

ps. Chris - we really need a spell checker on this thing (good ole NWC education)

Trent Littleton

Paula, What are you talking about???? I know nothing about police or spray paint or rides home. Dropping you off first makes no sense at all given you and I lived on the same street for goodness sake. Maybe it was because YOU wouldn't give me the time of day...hummmmm. LOL

All, A lot of people jummped out of Bro. C's window. So here may know already but Bro. C passed away in 2006 at the age of 79. I loved that man. He was actually good friends with both of my brothers post-hisgh school as they are both preachers as was Bro. C.

I heard that Mr. Knowles passed away as well, did anyone else know that?

So there has been mention of some teachers who were potentially pervs but one name has not appeared on that list who I would say might have fit the bill and that was Mr./Coach Pitt. Man he gave me the creeps the way he looked at me...I mean you ladies.

08/29/08 12:21 PM #100

Tammy Rader

okay Paula, I dont even remember that incident. Are you sure it was me? Trent do you really not remember or am I crazy?

08/29/08 12:23 PM #101

Rhonda Carr (Wood)

I rear ended coach Denton leaving one day 6th hour...lol.. I had Shannon Calderon with me and we both pleaded for him not to say a word that we were ditching. He let us go and THANK GOD there was NO damage to his car..oh Dawn I passed that info along for you.

08/29/08 12:36 PM #102

Trent Littleton

OK most of my comments thus far have been laced with both facts and extreme sarcaism however all kidding aside, I seem to recall several times where we might have been gathered, at night, in Jock Lot and the police showing up which made casue for rapid departures from the area but can't say I specifically recall what Paula is referring to.

On a completely different note someone in a very early post on here was asking about a red truck playing loud music...was that possibly Jason Williston? He was an '89 grad.

08/29/08 12:38 PM #103

Trent Littleton

Rhonda, I honestly think I remember that accident with Coach Denton. Maybe the alcohol hasn't totally erased my memory.

Katherine, Lloyd's little brother was Robert. I played football and basketball with that group on occasion. That was over at Hawthorne.

Rhonda Carr (Wood)

Trent we were scared. He was scary. Wow..
It has been really nice to read these posts and look back on some really fun times. I did not really get to know alot of you until my Jr year. I kind of had a bad ball and chain that kept me from doing so. Does anyone remember the theme of our Jr prom? Autumn and I were trying to figure that out last week.
Oh and Ray.. you were def a crush to remember..:o)
Do you remember us in 4th grade at Hillcrest?

08/29/08 01:12 PM #106

Laura Chrisman (Riley)

Rhonda, 4th Grade-Hillcrest?? Give me more!! The elementary school crushes are the best.

The day of the accident, you wouldn't have just come from 'behind the gym' at that time, would you have??!

By the way, you look great!!

08/29/08 01:19 PM #107

Rhonda Carr (Wood)

yes..it was from behind the gym in that parking lot that exited on to 30th st..lol.. Ray and I went to hillcrest together. I thought he was a cutie from then until HS..
That pic is an OLD one from 96.. I really need a new one. I was 9 mos preg with my now 12 year old. I have a more recent pic but I am not crazy about it. I have added lots of curves.

08/29/08 01:32 PM #108

Paula Holmes

Ok Tammy and Trent - Now I'm the one that should have lost all the brain cells.

Tammy remember we went to the parking lot - I don't remember if it was spray paint or white shoe polish - We wrote stuff like 88 rules - and then you thought we should put 87 rules too. They did their 7 all weird, so they actually thought it was someone in their grade too. Then, the cop showed up and decided we were not doing something so bad and he let us go.

Yes, I did think that was weird how you didn't drop Tammy off first because we lived closer together.

Come on - one of you have to remember.

08/29/08 01:47 PM #109

Trent Littleton

Come on Paula it's only 1:45pm you haven't been hitting the sauce already have you?

08/29/08 02:28 PM #110

Paula Holmes

That's awful :)

One of best memories I have, and you guys don't remember it. crazy.

08/29/08 02:35 PM #111

Trent Littleton

Well Folks I just want to say I hope you all have a great and safe Labor Day weekend. I'm leaving work and heading to the lake. Maybe a relaxing 3 day weekend will help jog my memory Paula.

08/29/08 03:01 PM #112

Tammy Rader

I agree with Trent, maybe I can remember after a relaxing weekend at the lake. Paula, that's where you're headed to, so do some more thinking and make sure it was really us. Ha!

08/29/08 11:45 PM #113

Dawn Provo (Williams)

Thanks Rhonda. I will let you know if I get a response.

Ok I know I am out the loop because I do not remember much about painting the parking lot or the police coming. I guess I did not join in that kind of FUN!!!

Bro. Carpenter and Mr. Knowles... GONE??? Wow, Of course, Bro Carpenter was one of my favorite teachers too. I never had Mr. Knowles for a teacher but he sent me to detention a time or two. Always running my mouth and being somewhere I should not have been. We need to have a memorial in their honor.

You all are funny, keep the posts coming...

Dawn

Chris Blevins

paula: yes, we need a spell checker, and perhaps some ginko biloba for memory enhancement.

trent: i had a crush on ray too!

laura c: you have asked why the senior pictures are posted on the site for some people, but not others. well...i've lined up all of the senior pictures, and arranged them in order from least attractive to most attractive, and i'm posting the most attractive first. is your picture there yet? :)

all: christy has offered to spearhead digitizing the senior slide show, and then creating a movie with music out of the jpegs. having someone create the pics from slides is not cheap. will cost her almost $200, and she's doing it out of her own pocket. to help defray the cost, we're going to offer the finished product on DVD, for $10.00. will have order form on the website soon.

Ray, it seems you were a rather popular guy back in the day! Boy it seems we are comfortable in our skin, Trent...... Chris..........

Carpenter, Knowles, Allen,...wont forget them. I respect their patience for putting up with us! After working in the public schools and seeing all walks of life, you definitely need patience and an open mind.

Im sure all you (now)teachers would agree that it is a relief to the students, to come to school and meet someone who cares and is interested in you. Afterall, we spent most of our time and a few years with these people. It seems to me they had an impact in our life in some form, good or bad....
In Denton's case, (he isnt gone) but you probably needed some discipline!

08/30/08 01:59 PM #116

Rhonda Carr (Wood)

Tammy.. did Coach Allen pass away?

08/30/08 02:08 PM #117

Reva Patton (Andrews)

It's been a while since I posted, but have had a blast reading all this stuff, and going back looking through yearbooks to try and remember all these people.

My crush from Kindergarten to high school was Trent, but in high school, I'd have to say Chris Blevins. Now, my teacher crush was Mr. Scott, but I absolutely adored Coach Palmer. A real doll.

As for friendships, Paula was my best friend and I missed out on a lot with her (Tammy's fault - just kidding) because outside of school I spent so much time at the 89er ballpark. But the times we did hang out at ballgames, bonfires and parties were great. Paula and I have been friends since grade school and I can't believe we let that friendship fade.

Anyway, still love hearing about all of you, so carry on.

08/30/08 10:15 PM #118

Tammy Rader

Rhonda, I heard that a long time ago. I heard he passed away of cancer. If anyone knows any different please correct me.

Reva, silly, I know you and Paula were very close. I was very close to Shannon Edwards all through middle school. Our freshman year Paula and I met and went crazy! I'll never forget all the fun times Shannon and I shared, and I know Paula feels the same about you. Trust me, I heard many stories.

Hey, all those days at the ballpark eventually ended you up on the field as a Diamond Girl if I'm not mistaken! Saw it in the paper. As for your crushes, well, i'd say you have excellent taste!

Am I too old to have a crush now? Someone's caught my eye after 25+ years. Maybe some of you guys could give me some advice.
