Yes, I was a Diamond Girl, actually since I was 15. Then I met my husband when I was 20(he was the pitching coach for the 89ers) and we've been together since.

No, I don't think it's too late for a "crush". Are we talking about someone from school that's caught your attention again? I'm curious to know who. After going through my yearbooks this afternoon I remembered a LOT of crushes. I'm actually nervous to see some of them again, but no dishing in the message forum...sorry. If you want to divulge your crush secretly, email me at Andrews2923@cox.net. Email me anyway.

I didnt know you were dancing on the field since you were 15. I saw it in the paper after we graduated.

Well, it is someone I was just friends with all of these years. I will say this, one thing I love, is that he makes me smile.... he makes me laugh......

Hey guys information posted earlier about Marcus marrying Mrs. Nero was not true. Keith, Marcus's brother that I keep in touch with more than Marcus obviously, said that had been the rumor for years. However, he said that he did have a baby by Ms. Johnson another teacher that taught up to our school. I had to check that out because Kye emailed me and asked was I sure that it was Ms. Nero that he married because she passed away in a car accident in 2002. Please forgive me that's how rumors gets started.

Okay, I went back and looked over our Senior yearbook (I cannot believe I still had it) and I have discovered something about myself... I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANYTHING!!! What happened to me? It is like I disappeared from the class. I am really disappointed in me. I will make a conscientious effort to get involved in somebody's senior class. My daughter will not like me afterwards, but it gives me 2 years to get ready. In her Sr. yearbook they will see me everywhere.. :)

Also, I did not know most of you were so involved. Kylene, you were a cheerleader? Amazing, all of those years of living across the street from each other and I never knew that. I apologize for being a bad neighbor. On so many different levels... you know what I mean :-)

Looks like the only club I was a part of was the "Lonely Hearts Club." Here is where all of you collectively say "AWWWWHHHH." lol

FYI, another teacher that passed away is Coach Clark. He was the girls basketball coach and he taught Math/Algebra. He was another favorite of mine even though he took me through the ringer for real. He passed away a couple of years ago (give a year or two).

I surely did not know Coach Allen passed away as well. I know we are not going to live forever but it shocks me when I hear about the deaths of our teachers and our classmates.

After reading the yearbook again, the gentleman I spoke about earlier that participated in dragging me down the hallway was Shawn Jackson. He was a senior in 1988 but not sure if he graduated with us. He was killed in a drive-by shooting in 1989. (so I am told by a reliable source).

Dawn.. I thought you were in Choir???? I remember who you are and I remeber you being choir....weren't you??? I have a bad memory but I really recall you being in choir. Unless I am thinking of someone else.
I was in Cry-slurs..it was so much fun at times. I was looking over NWC website and it is sad that so many of the clubs and activities that we did are no longer there. There is little or no involvement in the music department. It made me so sad.
For those of you who have asked me why I did not do graduation with everyone else.. I had surgery first semester senior year (no senior pic) then I had to wait until fall of 1988 to get my HS diploma. I fought with the admin about getting to walk the stage at graduation (they would not let me). So thats why I am not listed in graduation stuff and memorabilia. I was pretty sad.

Hope everyone has a great Labor day weekend and the reunion is almost here. OK I had some man crushes, you know cool dudes that took all the action and I wanted them to die, LOL, just playing, Bob, Robert Johnson was always the man, Chris Blevins was our Ferris Bueller, The Oak boys were like pimps and it looks like Dan is still pimpin' I ain't mad at ya. Bryan Adams wore the Prince outfit with the hat and pulled it off. Literally he was singing take your panties off and women did it, amazing. I am glad I am over my issues( not fully have to pray about them every day, have potential relapses every moment)

Rhonda Carr, LOL, nothing more needs to be said, LOL

Good ole Love Denton, he called his softball team heffers and made us run, stick our noses in the dirt and even push the school van when it ran out of gas. But I have to say I still liked him. Coach Allen was the greatest of all the coaches I think. When I had cheerleading practice and was late to softball practice Coach Allen would stay late and practice with me. Do you guys remember the beater he would drive so his Camaro wouldn't get messed up at school. That was one ugly car. Ya'll were talking about crushes I had a four year crush on Raymond Gallager. My brother played baseball with him so I was around him all the time, but he just wouldn't give me the time. Oh well now I probably wouldn't even want him. HaHa. Funny how life turns out.

***sigh*** I know....

I do have a pretty good hubby.. I really can't complain too much. He's one of those "good guys". I guess being married to him going on 20 years says alot. I could not find anyone any better for me.

Ray.. your so crazy...

Does anyone know anything about Coach Palmer or Mrs. Waterman? Are they still teaching there, anywhere?

09/02/08 09:00 AM #130

Trent Littleton

Reva, stop it you are making me blush.

Chris, I was also wondering why some people had their Sr. pics on their profiles and some did not. I get it now...I just don't quite make the "HOT" list.

Paula and Tammy, I guess the long weekend at the lake relaxing and imbibing didn't quite jog the memory enough to recall any rides home after painting and police. Sorry.

09/02/08 03:44 PM #131

Tammy Rader

Trent--- you made my "HOT" list..

Dont feel bad, it didnt jog my memory either. I think she's been hittin the sauce...Sorry Paula.. Love ya!

Dont know anything about Palmer. He didnt care for me much. i guess cause I didnt kiss his toosh! No shoulder massages from me. Mrs. Waterman, I think she is still there. You can look up the NWC sight and see the "Company".

I don't know if Coach Palmer is teaching/coaching in the school system anymore or not...I can tell you he is not at NWC based on their website. It does however appear he is still involved in baseball out at Dolese Park though.

Rhonda,
Yes I was in choir. But that was my Jr. year. My Sr. year I pretty much went to school (on ocassion) and that is it. All cool though, I guess it was an awkward time for me.
But yes, I was in Cry-slurs too. LOVED IT!!!

Trent & Tammy - Still can't believe you both don't remember. Tammy - I'll call you this weekend - because I'm going to make you remember.

Reva, yes we have known each other since 3rd grade. Nancy, Tracy, Trent, Mike and a few others went to Hawthorne Elem. I can't believe that you had a crush on Trent all those years. I think we all use to chase each other around the playground :) I'm sure you don't remember that Trent.

Yes, me and Tammy had a whole lot of fun our Freshman year :) Oh, I don't think I had crushes on anybody because they were usually just using me to get to Tammy:)

09/03/08 11:36 AM #137

Trent Littleton

Paula, oddly enough I do recall the playground chasing at Hawthorne just not the painting and so forth in high school. I guess being the chaser and chasee had more of an impact on me in those formative years.

09/03/08 04:48 PM #138

Tammy Rader

Che, will do. God Bless.

Paula, Paula, you always say that, and I dont know what you are talking about. You went out with some pretty hot guys. You cant deny it!

You know, noone really noticed me until 9th grade, because that's when I got BOOBS!!funny how that happens huh girls. (I hope you guys can excuse my forwardness:) We are all old friends here and I feel comfortable "letting my hair down.")

Chris, what do you call that? Liberating?;)

09/03/08 05:52 PM #139

Rhonda Carr (Wood)

Tammy..thats so true...it seemed as us girls developed..the boys really started chasing us..lol...I Am not sure how many times I had my bra snapped in middle school

09/03/08 10:24 PM #140

Reva Patton (Andrews)

Paula -- Mike who? I'm sure as soon as you tell me it will me hit me like a lead balloon, but I can't think of any Mikes that we were in school with that long.

Trent -- you never treated me right, so I loved you from afar.

Tammy -- let your hair down, girl.

09/03/08 10:26 PM #141

Reva Patton (Andrews)

I just realized my senior pic still isn't up, so I must be at bottom half of that order Chris mentioned. Darn it.

09/03/08 10:34 PM #142

Trent Littleton

Awww now I feel bad Reva. I'm sorry if I wasn't nice. Also I think Paula is on the sauce again as I can't remember a Mike either. I remember Chris Flynn in elementary school. Lastly we can be the cellar dwellers together relative to our lack of a Sr. pic on our profiles. You...me...Paula...Rhonda and whoever else doesn't rate.

Tammy, I didn't know you prior to 9th grade so you can't say that about me but I know exactly what you are talking about. I got boobs and it was never quite the same.

Che, I'll drink one for you neighbor. Again be safe over there and our prayers are with you.

Trent - ha!

Thank you Reva.....
