HEALTH SCARE
Although we still didn't make our minds as to attending the reunion, because I had a very serious health problem at the beginning of this year.
In our AA flight from Dallas back to Sao Paulo, on Jan. 3rd ( after spending Xmas and New Year with our whole family in Canyon/Tx. ) I was infected by the H1N1 virus ( I didn't take vaccine).
On Jan.10th I was interned in our local hospital, because my situation was getting worse.
On Jan.12th. they sent me to the isolation in the ICU at 9:00 P.M.. At 2:00 A.M. I got my first chock, and from then on, I was out .
Stayed 17 days in coma, in the total 34 days in the ICU in a very delicate situation. At the hospital were 45 days, when I lost 25 kg.
During this period a lot of complications happened and I almost died.
According to the doctors I had less than 5% of chance of surviving .
At the same time my kidneys stopped and I had to do dialysis.
My leavers got hepatitis and paralyzed, and I had to take 20 bags of blood.
Had a stomach bleeding, and my lungs had edema, so I had artificial breathing machine in a 100%, what gave me a chronicle fibrosis in the bottom of both lungs. Had 3 chocks at the total, when I had to be reanimated, besides other small problems. Also lost 30% of my hearing capacity, due to strong antibiotics they gave me.
I'm just alive due God's Bless !!! We believe it was a God's Miracle !!!
There was a lot of prayers in town in various religious churches, an enormous family and friends attention and a special dedication from the doctors and the hospital crew.
Since the beginning of March I'm at home doing physiotherapy, and fell much better now,although some sequelae are still troubling me.
I'm trying to do my best to recover my body condition, once my brain is still working good, and probably we'll decide to go in June, if the doctors let me .
Finally, I'd like to give you, your family and our friends/classmates and their families a warning and also a request, to take every year the vaccine against flu. This "monster" is in the air and everywhere!!!
Catharina also got the virus, but she took the vaccine before travelling to the U.S. and she resisted with weaker symptoms.

Yes, I feel much better now.
I'm still going through some medical exams, to know my limits.
But I understand, I'm in a very profitable situation, due a God's miracle.
Would be possible to insert in my page our messages, so they would be like an update for all the classmates ?

Once I check with my doctors, and they say it is OK going to O.S., I'll inform you to get the instructions for the payments.
