I married high school sweetheart, Ray Johnson in 1962. We were married for 27 years and he died. We owned and operated Johnson's Day Care for 16 years. After we closed that I went to work for Omaha Public Schools in the media center. Worked there until after Rays death in 1989. Then I moved to CA and worked for Santa Barbara County Education Office in the Migrant Education Department as the health specialist. I married Jim Beattie in 1991 and we lived in Lompoc,CA. I worked for Lompoc School District in special education classrooms. I retired in 2007 and we moved to Anna, TX where I was a substitute for a couple years and then I became a nanny to 3 neighbor children. I have 11 grand children and 3 great grand children. We are very active in our church and the Celebrate Recovery group there. Both Jim and I are in the worship group for CR. I love to tend my flowers and vegetable garden. I also make hand crocheted rag rugs, dish clothes, scrubbies, and hot pads.

Since I am really retired now I like to swim and exercise in the pool. I enjoy my friends children

All over CA. Also made a trip to Virginia to visit son in the Navy. I went to the Philippines twice. The people there are so caring and friendly. My son and his wife were missionaries there and built a home for children that hospitals wouldn't even take because they were to ill. Through prayer and medicine many of this children were healed and are doing well. I got to swim in the ocean. Snorkeling was the best. To see all the colorful fish, snakes, corral and all is something I will never forget. I have been to Vegas a few times Also the Dakotas where I enjoyed the wide open spaces
