In Memoriam - Bill Buller

We are very saddened to report that Bill Buller, Member # 093, crossed the bar Sunday July 10th. Bill was just one month shy of turning 82 years old. A friendly, gregarious, fine man, with a great sense of humor, Bill is remembered very fondly by everyone who knew him. Bill was a retired math teacher and related exceptionally well to kids of all ages. He was instrumental in and founded the Jr. Sailing Program at QCYC and continued as our committee chair for that program for many years. He loved getting kids enthused about sailing and was a long-time instructor as well. He was one of the organizers of the fund-raising dinner and auction that got the program off to a successful start! Bill also served as Regatta Sail Chairman and organized Friday Socials hosted by the sailors and sailboat cruises for the club. He loved Jimmy Buffett music and his often-used salutation was “Fins Up!” We will miss you very much Bill!
