I spent my freshman year of college at Mississippi State College for Women. I tranfered to Mizzou the next year and graduated from there. I even hung around for another year and got my masters. My first job was librarian at St Pius X High School in Festus, Mo. After 7 years, I accepted a position as elementary librarian for the Dunklin R-5 School District and held that position for 21 year. I then "graduated" to middle school. I was surprised I enjoyed that age group as much as I did. I have been here for 7 years now. I will do this again next year, but that will probably be my last.
I married my husband Chuck in 1977. Our daughter is a gradute of Mizzou and our son is attending SEMO now.
For those of you who had Mr. Harris for ag, he is living up here in an assisted living facility. My mother died 4 years ago, and he was on his own for 2 1/2 of that. He has a bad knee and falling got to be a concern.
