Since High School Graduation, I have graduated from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) and Logan College of Chiropractic (Chesterfield, MO). I have worked as a chiropractor in Pennsylvania, Kentucky and now South Carolina. Of all the places that I thought I would never move to or back to, home was one of them. I have to say since I have been here the past 3 and a half years, I have found the most fulfillment in caring for this community and caring for family members of some of my former classmates.
The success stories of having a Wellness practice in South Carolina outweigh the questions and concerns my friends from across the country have about why I chose to move back to SC. I realize this isn't California where Chiropractic is a household word and has been for over 20 years. South Carolina has the highest number of Diabetes and Kidney dialysis cases in the nation. My practice has been seeing and providing nutrition alternatives for these types of conditions and many others including Cancer, High Blood Pressure, sleeping disorders and depression. All of the aforementioned conditions arise due to improper nutritional choices. I have been educating my patients about this as well as providing them with alternatives that lead to a much better quality of life.
Remember, There's living and there's enjoying life!!! Hope all is well with everyone from the class of '88 and I welcome you to stop by to say hello. The door is always open (during office hours:-))) 1107 Cook Rd.
It was a warm spring day back in 1987. I had Trig. after lunch with Mrs. Harrold and I asked her if we could open the one window in the room because it was hot in the classroom. Before she could say anything, Shonda Pauling (R.I.P.) said to me, "maybe if you close you mouth it wouldn't be so I in here" and without really remembering that I was in class, I responded to Shonda by saying, "Maybe if you close your legs it wouldn't be so hot in here". Mrs. Harrold's face turned completely red from trying to contain her laughter as she escorted me out to the hall to talk to me:-0
