Tony Nicolais passed away while vacationing in Costa Rica. On July 21, he
went snorkeling and was caught in a riptide. To the great sorrow of his family
and his friends, Tony did not escape the riptide and drowned.
Tony was a kind, loving, caring, energetic, and FUN, FUN friend. He never
had a mean bone in his body and was loved by all. He loved his family and friends
and was the life of the party.
I invite you to share your photos and memories of him.
Tony is survived by his parents Linda and Peter Nicolais and his sister Dianne.
The Wake was on Monday, July 28th
The Funeral was Tuesday, July
29th, at Michael Church
I grew up with Tony all through grade school, I used to ride bikes with Tony and his sister used to babysit me!
What ashame, I got called in to work for a colleague that was sick and I had to leave late Sunday and work Monday so I will be unable to make any of the arrangements.
Please send my thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
Wow, Tony and I were in a few classes together each year of high school. How very sad, He was such a great guy, funny, caring, and just great to be around, he was even at most of the parties at my house. Good memories and great times. God bless him, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
After having known Tony for 25+ years and living with him for over 8 years, it is a huge loss for me and will forever leave a hole in my heart. It is like I lost a brother. But, the thing that I will always have are the stories of our adventures and experiences downtown, on the annual motorcycle trips and vacations. I'd be glad to catch people up with the stories of Mr. Nicolais and we can toast him and celebrate his life. He was truly an amazing person as his love for life, adventure, music, motorcycles, family and friends was bigger than anything I've ever experienced. I know that he crammed 3 lifetimes worth of living into his 38 years and we should all take note of that and not put off until tomorrow what we can do today.
This is a big loss. I remember that Tony made everything seem more fun and enjoyable in high school. My condolences to those who knew him for so many more years.
