What a great weekend! I put up a lot of new pics from the weekend...with lots more to come. I think we've found the template for future reunions. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did. It was so great to see everybody. I still didn't get to talk to everybody!

I hope that everyone continues to update your pics and what's going on in your life. This website is our own MySpace/Facebook!

I'm a little sad it's all over. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic after our awesome weekend. I guess I'll start looking forward to 2013 and our 25th reunion!

I have never gave up the ghosts of my past until last night. I wanted to be angry for a long time that I did not have a fairy tale childhood. I buried that hate last night, without punching Jody or Gary once, and I feel great. It was wonderful to see all of you. Life is what it is and mine is now better. All of you have a place to lay your head and a table to fill your stomach at my house. But like I tell all of my friends call me 5 minutes ahead because I like to be naked. Yes I was at the 3rd hole ready to go streaking. Oh well you guys missed about a 35 yard sprint and it was cold.... Get that picture out of your mind.

Ok Bill, I am trying hard not to think about that. Thanks, everyone, for a great time; sorry we could not stay for Sunday's cookout, but we had to get back over the mtns.

I especially wanted to say THANKS to Tommy and Rick Dees for an incredible job with the countdown CD. We had a blast listening to it in the car heading west. Hands down, my favorite was the vintage recording of "Going Down to Myrtle." Awesome. Take care everybody - y'all look great!

This weekend was so much fun. I really miss all of you. Thankfully we are now connected again and our good times together will continue. You all are the best people I have ever known. I love all of you. Hope you all have a great week (one of rest and recovery!) A special thanks to Amy, Tommy, Angie and Larry, Shields and Grey, Lisa, and all of you who led the way in organizing a wonderful weekend. You did a great job! Please stay in touch! Love, Liz

Marcey and I had the best time!! The CD is awesome!! Thanks to everyone who made our 20 year such a success. Minus my feet screaming after dancing in shoes that looked good, but not practical. I posted a lot of Sat. night pics under my profile, if anyones interested. Everyone looked great!! Thanks Bill for the 2 glasses of wine!!! Marcey said that it's going to be hard to top our reunion!!

To all of the workers who sacrificed to make this happen it was awesome. My wife said that she will not attend another reunion since nothing could compare to what she saw with me. Thank you for making her feel at home among strangers. Thank you to Tonya Tyler for telling her you were the first girl I kissed after I denied any love interests. Kathy my mother in law thought you rubbed my back too much during a hug, I told her the chewing gum and pocket story and she was quiet after that. Angela I will not come back to Oxford to live any time soon, but the lake in Henderson might find me after my children are off to college. Tracy the two drinks I bought for you were stolen from the bar. Someone paid twice, they should have been a little more sober. Now that is funny.

Angie, I can't find my cd. Did I leave it in your car by chance? I am dying to hear it! It would have kept me awake driving back to DC last night! Much prefer customized Rick Dees to that sleepy Delyla stuff I was listening to.

Bill, I am so thankful you live close to me! We can do this every weekend! Yay! Third hole streaking? I am so suprised no one ended up in the pool AND it had water in it. Flashback.

Hello everyone. All I can say about this reunion weekend, fun!fun!fun! I really enjoyed seeing you all. What a great class we have. Thanks to Amy and all who made this reunion a blast for us all. A great job, well done. You all look the same and that's a blessing no doubt. I believe I lost about 10 pounds from all the dancing I did Saturday night. The cd sounds great, a great ideal for the reunion. Tommy you are right, this is our myspace/facebook all in one. I will be adding pictures to my profile, so check me out and my number is on my profile as well. I hate that it is all over, but until the next time, take care and once again, thanks for being a great group of people.

What a weekend!!! I too am sad it is over- It was sooooo good to see all of you and I know I didn't get to speak to everyone. It's a privilege to be part of such a great group of people. We truly have a wonderful bond and I hope this site will continue to keep us close.
I posted some pics from H.S. on my site that didn't get into the slideshow on Sat. I also posted pictures from this past weekend. Hope you enjoy-

Let me start off saying Saturday was probably the best time I've had in 20 years!!! To see people I haven't seen in 20 years and the memories this brought up was nostalgic and not the least bit painful, lol. Thanks to all responsible for making this possible, you guys are absolutely amazing. Don't want to rush the years but I can't wait for the next one.
BTW, can anyone tell me if I can get Barry's book anywhere around the triangle or is it only on amazon?

Michele Oakley (Yancey)

I just want to say to Amy, Tommy and everyone that had a hand in this night (THANK YOU.) I haven’t had this much fun since prom. Everyone looked so nice and Bruce I agree with you I think you may have lost 15 pounds. I think you lost the pounds when you pop up your collar and were scooting across the floor. I will laugh at this night for years to come. I just want to thank Liz for feeling me up on my birthday and inviting other people to fill me up also (lol).Even though she probably don’t remember don’t worry Liz it’s our secret. (lol) I guess that’s what happen when you birthday falls on the class reunion night. I am so glad that I didn’t miss it. It was good seeing all of you. I can’t wait to the next one. Great job guys.

Tonya Tyler (Dickerson)

I had an outstanding time this weekend with you guys. Thank you so much for all of the hard work. It is a weekend that I will never forget.
Bill how could you deny your first love? That kiss on the playground when we were 5 years old was something special to me.(HA HA)
Bruce I think I lost 5 pounds just from watching you dance.
Liz I think everyone in the buliding enjoyed dancing with you and Bruce, you guys were so full of life. You made it fun for so many of us, especially for Michele Oakley.
Latonia Hicks I can't wait for you to send me all of those great pictures you took FOR FREE!!!!

Tracy, I will see what I can find out for you on Barry's book. It is very good, we read it Sunday night.

Tonya that was the sweetest kss any little boy ever recieved from a beautiful young woman at 5 years old. I just got chills thinking about it. Too bad we never explored more LOL, or did we? When you told that story to my wife the next thought I had was Valarie Tharington's panties in the 1st grade. Wow was I a little deviant. Man this was a wonderful event falling right behind births, marraige, honeymoon(that was freaky too), joining and leaving the US Army, and a few firsts and a couple of seconds. So it is easily a top ten and almost as life changing for me. I will have to get back in shape to do some poppin locking and dropping and all of the young people dances for the next one because we will all be over 40 then. Whooo wheee.....Oh and let there be some sexual tensions next time it was way too conmfortable, well besides the Tonya kissing comment. Hey we should have kissed again for old time sakes but just not as much tongue this time. I am a married man.

Thanks Gary, I would really appreciate it. I read a excerpt from it on line and it sounds like just what I need for my teenager.
Oh, it was great seeing you Saturday.

******* From Marcey *******

To the Class of 1988:
Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your class reunion. Yall did a wonderful job - Amy, the website ROCKS! Tommy, the CD is awesome! To everyone else that helped - great, great job! The Class of 1988 has raised the bar on reunions - I can only hope that my 20 year reunion is half as great as this one was. I look forward to the next one - I'll be there with Tracey ;-) We has a blast!

Regarding Barry Grissom's book - I found it at Barnesandnoble.com. The title of his book is "Through My Eyes". Oh my goodness - I did not know that about Barry. Bless his heart! m

This weekend was a tremendous joy and it was so good to remember. Everyone looked so good and the entire weekend was extraordinary. I can't wait to get together again. To Amy and all who planned...you are phenomenal! I'm looking forward to all the free pictures from Latonia Hicks also, thanks for the photography service. Tim Denny you have a beautiful family. Its great to see classmates and feel like you're coming to Webb for class. I found myself remembering events for the first time in 20 years. Phyllis Evans, you are still the best, even though I put my life in your hands and that big white van tooooo many times. (lol) To everyone, take care, love your families and each other, because we are all truly blessed!

I am so thrilled we gave Michele a GREAT birthday! Bruce and I will gladly come back for entertainment, but only if Gaylon, Blair, Grey and Cecil perform the John Travolta again...and what was that I heard Ben say..."Is that Monique leading some cheers on the dance floor?"

I, too, did not get to visit with everyone. I am especially glad to see photos of Tim Denny on our website. Tim was always my homeroom neighbor (when i made it to homeroom). Tim, you do look great! Can't wait to actually see you in person!

You all are awesome!

Angela Regan (Marzano)

For those of you that did not make it to the reunion, but have looked at the pictures...If I had burst into song I would have cleared the place out;)(that was never my gift)...But, to Tommy and Dwain, I do have to say that you got me in those pictures---that was funny!
Please leave them up and every time I need to laugh at myself I'll check your profiles...

Peace,
Angela

...Oh Yeah, we don't really hate Dwain=), but that was funny,too.....long story...

Tommy tell Rick Dees I love the CD. That is an awesome reminder of jus thow old I am and how the music of the '88 class is old and now being re-re-sampled LOL. Did anyone else put the CD in and drive a little different, like they were traveling through Oxford avoiding heading to Webb. I can instantly go back to sitting in the car and looking at the clock and wishing it would slow down. Oh for some of you men there is this new product called Grecian Formula. Grey does not make you look sophisticated it makes you look old, which in turn reminds the rest of us that we are old as well. LOL

I think this is the book you are looking for

Thanks Bill. I'm ordering it now. I think I'm going to recommend to the Richard H. Thornton library that they need to get this book in stock considering he is a hometown boy and deserves props.

It was great seeing you and also entertaining reading your post. You don't know it but you effortlessly picked me up many days when I needed a laugh.

I am happy to oblige with my humor. I have told my wife that I cried enough and now the only tears I have are of joy. Like when my daughter sings in front of everyone or when my son just smiles at me. If anybody knows of any better feeling other than letting them get a job and pay bills let me know.
