I first met Donna Freshman year in gym class. We stayed in touch over the years. When my mother passed we were in our 20's and I had two small children. Donna and her mother without being asked jumped in and helped me with the after funeral gathering at my house serving and greeting everyone. They set everything up and cleaned up. I'll never forget how thankful I was and appreciative. We saw each other more when our children were young and their birthday parties. Donna had a very kind heart and always stayed in touch and through out life asked how my children were and what we were up to. I moved to Texas and when we caught up again, I found out she had cancer and was fighting very hard to beat it. She beat the cancer and was enjoying everyday of her life to the most. She loved her three grandchildren and we would talk frequently on FB over the love of our grandchildren and share pictures. She loved her cats, the deer in her back yard and the birds. She was so grateful for her life everyday. I was so saddened to hear she caught pneumonia around Thanksgiving and was hospitalized and in extreme pain. She suffered and fought to get better but was called to join her mother in heaven who had passed one year earlier. I will never forget her and I miss her. Rest in peace my longtime friend.
God Bless Donna and her family.
