Congratulations on becoming a grandmother! The photo makes me laugh out loud. She is just adorable with that wreath on her head. What a great idea! I am sure you will enjoy every minute.
Adding all the stories to your memory must give you a really rich life!
Hi Sarah, I just replied, I think, sending a private message. If you don't get it, let me know.

It must feel great to be able to get to the gym. I know how many health struggles you have had.

Roger, you are absolutely right about the lack of coverage of the IT outage and all its implications. The media and the voting public don't want to tackle information about difficult problems that we need to find solutions for such as climate change, rising health care costs, the IT system, water shortages, etc. etc. It's much easier to devote endless print to the political storms of the week rather than elevating the level of knowledge concerning what should be the real issues. That being said, I intend to watch today's stage of Tour de France, being held in the mountains. It should be as good as escapism gets. I love the photo of Mason as well as the other grandchildren's photos. They all put a smile on my face.
I am dazzled by the amount of work you have done. Congratulations! Post some photos every now and then so we can admire the fruits of your labor.

Thank you for your empathy for those of us who would like to be there and it just doesn't work. I'll be in California (a niece's wedding in La Jolla) in early October plus babysitting of grandchildren around that time (transition from summer to school year schedules). I just couldn't see squeezing in a trip for this event, as special as it promises to be.
I missed it but several friends had great viewings here in the Boston area. Being near the coast seemed to be the key. As always, thanks for keeping us informed.

Congratulations on the hike! What tour group did you go with? I feel like I have a few challenging undertakings left to this body of mine--Patagonia is on the list to consider.

Thank you for thinking of Fenway. I must not have shared that Fenway had to go to dog heaven almost two years ago. He developed a mass in his stomach, hemangiosarcoma. He tried so hard to pretend nothing was wrong and still wanted to go for walks. But then day came where he could barely stand up. He was great company, especially during a snow storm. I haven't gotten another dog.
I was wondering how you were doing in New Jersey because I saw a weather report stating you were getting lots of snow. Weather stations do report things dramatically. It sounds like you get some delicious soup out of the day. Sorrel? I have never cooked with sorrel or eaten sorrel to my knowledge.
I'm working on my late brother's taxes. Making soup sounds more attractive.
Hawaii is always a good idea. Enjoy those precious grandchildren.
