Comments:

After graduation from PHS worked in attorney's office in Pampa for one year and took night class at Frank Phillips College. As the rest of you celebrated the end of your Freshman year in college, I was off to Liberty Missouri as a freshman to attend William Jewell College. Enjoyed that year at William Jewell and recall it was the year President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas. There were two students on campus from Texas. I was one of them. We hung our heads a little lower than the rest; sad times. My long time friend from Borger was the other Texas girl on campus. It was her family that pulled some strings to let me attend school at Jewell. Texas was calling us, as both of us were a bit home sick after that year out of state. We both returned to Texas and enrolled at West Texas State. After one and half years studying there, I transferred to TCU. Studied religion at TCU and, truthfully, planned to be in children's ministry. In a way that is what I did without the degree from TCU as I had an active home with five children in my first marriage to Jimmy Storms. Was married for eighteen years and divorced and remarried for seventeen years before divorcing my second Pampa High School graduate in 2001, your classmate, David Tripplehorn. Have been licensed as a Realtor since 1984. and am still working in real estate sales. With nine grandchildren and all of my children living in the Dallas area, life is busy. I enjoy staying in touch with my two sisters and one brothers. My friends share kindness more than I deserve. My life has been very blessed with having healthy and delightful children and now share love with their children and their spouses, and heavens, will mention I have grand-dogs everywhere. To date have not been cut from the "Always Welcome" list, and I take that as a sign of their love and devotion.

School Story:

Beginning my freshman year at Robert E. Lee as a new student in Pampa, many first impressions come to mind. I couldn't believe you, in Pampa, called kissing, "munching", and the word "evers"; I was told meant, "just kidding". Never understood it. Who was the kid I heard ate a June Bug....Dick Batson? All the boys seemed to really give a lot of "looks" and flirted with Diane Snider. There were plenty of great kids in Pampa. Who was this man to avoid named, Bailey? Can you believe the driving age was maybe, fourteen? Linda Meech was a pleasant new friend in algebra class. Beverly Moore was a great neighbor. Remember, Beverly, we hid in the back seat on the floorboard so we could go with your sister on her date? We made it about one revolution of the wheel before we got caught. We had no shame. These are some reflections of my first months in Pampa. It got better and better every day and every year. I loved being a Pampa Harvester, and still do love all the classmates from Pampa High School. Grateful for life's blessings.

Bob: May I offer my condolence for the lost of your sister Was very sad to hear of her passing. We never have a sibling to spare. We love them all and miss them when they leave to a greater place. Loved your family as an example of really neat people who actually lived and loved one another. Please know you are offered prayers in this time of shadows.

Hi, Ronny: Happy Birthday very soon, days after Fathers' Day. That means with a birthday following such a wonderful day as a father, and birthday to follow, you will celebrate all week. With nine children, that means you will have a really fun week with tons of love shown to you. I am sure you deserve it in every way. Thanks for having that Army Vet notice and USA flag as part of your profile. Have a wonderful birthday.

Happy belated birthday. Forgive a working girl, please. Hope you had a wonderful special day. I can only bet you are still working, too. Happy to note our Pampa, TX is still not burned in raging fire. Farmers in area had great loss The loss of cattle and other livestock was in high numbers and loss of homes, fences, barns and on and on. Cattle have no grazing land and the hauling in of alfalfa will be constant until the rains can come and replenish the plains. So sad for our families and our state. One thing true: there are angels amongst us...all the good people at work and the generosity of many, many good people everywhere will bring healing. Best to you. Ruth Anne
