James (Danny) Laramore

After graduation I enlisted in U S Army Security Agency assigned to Basic Training Ft Leonard Wood MO. After completing Basic training I was assigned to Ft Devens Mass to the 624th Military Police Unit (1966/1967). I was transferred to Wash DC to the Military Police Unit, HQ and HQ company, located at Arlington Hall Station, Arlington, VA (1967/1969). I was transferred to Tuslog Det 4 Sinop, Turkey (1969/1970) where I completed my enlistment contract. I was transferred to Ft Drum NY and honorably discharged in 1970.

I applied to Pampa Police Department for employment as a police officer 1970 and was hired. I also started college courses toward a BS in Criminal Justice as well as starting the required training for Police Officers licensing process with Texas Commission Law Enforcement Standards and Education, Basic Peace Officer License. Degree.

In 1974 I applied to Amarillo Police Dept and was hired as a police officer. During that time I was trained as a breath test operator to administer breath test to suspected DWI drivers. I was later assigned to the Amarillo SWAT team for Large Bore Sniper slot.

In 1976 I completed the requirements for an Assoc degree for Criminal Justice.
I completed the requirements for a step up in my Law Enforcement license to Intermediate status.

In 1980 I applied to Pampa Police Department and was hired. Shortly after I was hired I was sent to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), located in Maryland and completed the required courses for that certification. I also received special training in Auto Theft investigations, Arson Investigations, Crime scene investigations and other training involved in police work.

In 1981 I was elevated to Advanced Peace Officer License with TECLOSE. I continued training for administration of Police Departments in budgeting and operations of a Police Department.

1986 I received a BS in Criminal Justice from Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, TX.

In 1992 I retired from the Pampa Police Department to pursue other interests.

In 1993 I received my Master Peace Officer license.
I was hired by The Texas Railroad Commission as a Criminal Investigator for the oil and gas division. I retired in 1997.

1997 I was hired by Wylie, TX Police Department.

1998 I was hired by the Allen, TX Police Department as a Criminal Investigator. I retired from Wylie/Allen Police Department in 2010.

2015 I was hired by Parker TX Police Department as the Criminal Investigator and I am still working for Parker PD on a part time basis in a case consulting basis. Before the case is presented to the district attorney's office I review for the case elements being met as well as the case is meeting the law.
