Linda Lumpkin Appelbaum

After many years in Houston, TX we retired to Breckenridge, Colorado for about 6 years and then moved to our present location in Florissant, CO, which is closer to Pikes Peak....fewer tourists, less snow and we are on a little 40 acre ranch where we raise a little cattle and enjoy watching the grass grow or the snow melt. I serve on a museum board, the library board, a women's club board and play Mah Jongg, Mexican Train, Bunko, attend 2 book clubs, organize a monthly movie lunch group, , I knit, sew, paint, needlepoint, hike, travel a little and try to see the grand kids as much as possible.

I didn't think I'd make it to the 20th reunion so I put in a clever thing in the booklet that was being put together about myself sure to make everyone talk about me. I said I had been in Playboy twice!. Turned out, we did make it to the reunion and I had to field all kinds of questions about my Playboy comment...which was really true! I never posed for the magazine, I just had two letters to the Editor published!
