Andrew B. Lamonica, 64 of Panama City passed away on February 23, 2019. Andy was retired from a 32-year career with Gulf Power Company. He was a talented welder and artist; his beautiful iron work creations are a treasured legacy. Andy is preceded in death by his parents Michael and Pearl, sister Patricia, and beloved wife Monica. He is survived by his brothers Mike, Don (Candie), Joe (Leigh) and sister Merri (Thom). Andy was a favorite uncle to nieces and nephew Chrissy, Jenene, Mike, Leigh, Erin, Katie, Kelsey and their spouses and children. His fun-loving spirit, sense of humor, and willingness to give you the shirt off his back created many lifelong wonderful friends, especially Kim and Phillip Murphy, Mark Dalton, and Sheri Hill. Andy’s life is epitomized by this quote from Hunter S. Thompson… “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” Friends will be received 12:30pm-1:30 pm Saturday at the Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Andy lived by these words, “ Love All, Serve All”.
