
William M. "Bill" Walsingham, 61, of Panama City Beach, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014. Bill was a native and life-long resident of Bay County. He was a graduate of Bay High School, and worked in his family business, Alvin's Island Department Stores. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, and loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Pythagoras Lodge # 358, F & AM, and was Methodist by faith, attending St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William "Alvin" Walsingham.Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Walsingham; his sons, Jeff Walsingham and wife Michelle and Allen Walsingham and wife Jessica; his mother, Marion Walsingham; his grandchildren, Justina Adams and husband Nick, Emily Walsingham, Elizabeth Walsingham, Abigail Walsingham and Madison Walsingham; a great-granddaughter, Lillian Adams; his brother, Gary Walsingham and wife Cumi; his uncle David Walsingham; nephew Mike Walsingham and wife Pam; niece, Sherri Walsingham; great-nieces, Hannah and Leah Walsingham, great-nephew, Jacob Walsingham, and other cousins and relatives.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 23, 2014, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amy Persons-Parkes and Dr. John Whatley officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Greg Burnett, Carlos Atkinson, Mike Sellers, Charlie Burch, Mike Miller and Bill Moody. Bill's hunting and fishing buddies will serve as his honorary pallbearers.
