Sherry Kay Bennett, 61, of Panama City, has lost her battle with cancer but won the war of life as she is with her Lord in Heaven. 

Sherry passed on Sunday, 13 March, at her home while surrounded by her children. Sherry was born on Nov. 19, 1954, in Panama City, to Eddie Roy and Rosaetta (Quattelbaum) Newsome.

She was preceded in death by her father Eddie Roy, her mother Rosaetta and her sister, Peggy. 

Survivors include her children, Chastian Conley of Killeen, Texas, Danielle Navarro of Hutto, Texas and Kyle Bennett of Hutto, Texas; son-in-law, Roger Navarro; her sisters, Lynda Herold of Slidell, La., Phyllis Deese of Panama City Beach, and Nancy Marler of Panama City; her brother-in-laws, Bob Herold of Slidell, La., and Gene Deese of Panama City; and her grandchild, Audrey Navarro.

Memorial services for Sherry will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at Northstar Church, 11901 Panama City Beach Pkwy, Panama City Beach, FL 32407, with Pastor Marty Martin officiating.
