Hi Classmates,
i do think that this forum is so we can all share good news as well as sad news. I know we are all proud of our kids.
I really wanted to share something special with all of you. Our youngest son the Deputy, just received a call that he has been chosen as the National Top Air Tactical Deputy of the Year, they are fling him to Florida in July for the award. This is all due to several calls he was on in the Air 1 Spokane County Sheriffs helicopter, where he was the tactical operator and they captured a suspect that had murdered two people, then a high speed chase where two deputies were shot. As many of you know his new job after returning home from Ontario, CA of six weeks training is a K9 officer. He and his dog Laslo had 24 captures in the first 28 days of being on the job. He has been on our local news a couple of times, they are an amazing team. They have just implemented a new policy allowing him ans his partner Laslo to stay with the Air 1 unit, they will fly and as they approach a scene be dropped down out of the chopper to find the suspect.
I think many of you Pirates who are former Law Enforcement, might really be in tune with my story.
