After graduating from ASP in 1972, my father was transferred to Kansas where I attended Kansas State University and graduated with a BS in Horticulture. I have since been living in Kansas City working in the horticultural industry. In 1993 I started my own company – Malouche Enterprises, Inc. d.b.a. National Nursery Products – Kansas City. I provide marketing and sales representation to wholesale growers throughout the U.S. of nursery and greenhouse plants and serve as a direct link for the distribution of their products.

I have never been married, however in late 2009 I became engaged to a wonderful woman who was willing to put up with me. I enjoy traveling, and gardening and staying active with friends and family.

School Story

I was on the rugby team at ASP with my best friend, Don Brooks, and coached by James Moriarty. Don was not that coordinated because of his height and web feet, but the coach kept him anyway because his height was intimidating to the opposing team. Don and I were also into photography and many of our pictures ended up in the ’71 and ’72 year books. I spent many weekends at Don’s house. His father was famous for his “aspirin omelets”, which he would serve us after an evening of drinking wine at one of the world famous Gillespie parties.

Math was never my strong suit and I struggled with algebra. My teacher was Dr. Lecalle, a very polite gentleman from Spain. Instead of giving me an “F” on my tests, he would write “nice try, no grade”.

I had a secret crush for Carol Bishop, the Upper School Secretary!

My biggest claim to fame during that era was having our prom at the Eiffel Tower. My prom date was Laraine Stiles, and Don “The Latin Lover” Brooks’ date was Illona Hanson.
