Doris Lucky (Williams)

Doris Lee Lucky Williams, wife of Alan Martin Williams for 54 years, departed this life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at her home, with family by her side, having attained the age of 74 years. Doris was born in Bourbon County on June 8, 1948, the daughter of the late Jack Monroe and Evelyn Watson Lucky, was a graduate of Paris High School, a member of the Nifty Needles Quilt Guild, and was a lifetime member of Paris First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and attended the Goodwill Sunday School class. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, serving her family well as a homemaker, and enjoyed volunteering at St. Joe East with the Noggineers, where she knitted over 2,000 baby hats.

In addition to her husband Alan, she is survived by their sons, Eric Martin (Paula) Williams, Brian Alan Williams; a grandson, Paul Martin Williams; and a sister, Sue Lucky Roe. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service for Doris Lee Lucky Williams, will be at Paris First United Methodist Church on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Eliseo A. Mejia officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Eric Williams, Brian Williams, Paul Williams, Larry Gray, Jerry Baker, and Johnny Smith. Honorary bearers are the member of the Goodwill Sunday School Class and Choir of Paris First United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service.
