Paul was injured in a scrimmage game at Bryan Station High School just before the beginning of our Junior year. Paralyzed by this injury, he underwent extensive care and rehabilitation before rejoining us our Senior year.  Individually, and as a class, we were all devastated that this had happened to someone with the promise of such a bright future. But Paul persevered, graduating from Transylvania University, then receiving his post-graduate degree from Eastern Ky. University. He retired from Ky. State government as manager of the Division of Disability Determinations.   He died April of 2004 at age 55.
