Anne, we're all just a little early to wish to Happy Birthday..because we didn't want to forget, ha ha, seems to be an issue remembering.  Even tho, the website said 29th, smiley  Hope you have a great birthday celebration planned.  Next year, we will plan a celebration for all of us in New Jersey for the "SEVEN-O" watch for details.

Have a good one honey!!

Ugh!  Cannot even think that we will all be reaching that number next year.  Glad you don't plan to call it by it's name.  Partying together on the other hand sounds good.

I've sent a sympathy card to Pat Perlett.  I included the messages from Rusty (LaBarre), Meredith (Nickles) and Barbara (Ozer).  I also sent an 8 x 10 picture of the cast of Thieve's Carnival, our senior play.  Bob is pictured in one of his iconic poses with his curled hand up as if he was conducting an orchestra.  I hope I didn't forget anyone.

I am a volunteer at Craftsman Farms, the home of Gustav Stickley and his family during the first decade of the 20th century.  It is right off Rte 10 in Parsippany (Morris Plains mailing address).  Many of you would love to see it and tour and I encourage you to do it.  It's a fascinating look at the beginning of the 20th century and Stickley's convictions about the value of craftmanship and living in harmony with nature.  Many of you know about "Stickley furniture," I'm sure.  Gustav was one of the premier (if not "the" premier ) American proponents of the Arts and Crafts movement.  Tours are Thursday - Sunday year-round.

I was there on Saturday, and Pat Perlett was there.  She has been a long-time volunteer there and apparently this was her first time back since Dr. Perlett's passing.  I happened to sit next to her and introduced myself. She is clearly still emotionally fragile, but talked about the outpouring of sympathy and concern for her and her family.  She mentioned her son, Jason, and said he couldn't believe all of the people his Dad's life had touched. She knew right away about our card to her and she appreciated it.  I just wanted to let you all know.

Janet

Betty Smith (Voulgaris)

My son was a docent there when he was in college and collects Stickley furniture.  In Greece now for awhile. So sad to see so many stores I frequented out of business. We were lucky except for when the banks closed that we were busy since February.  Barbara Calotta Aber and I expect to do the Florida meet up in February.  Hi to everyone reading this . May we all remain happy and healthy.  Betty

Dear Merle,

Congratualtions on your retirement.  I'm sure you'll miss the kind of human contact counseling gives, but I'm just as sure that you'll find a way to continue to use your skills on behalf of others.  I wish you and your husband the very best.

Janet
