I've been throwing out things I've kept for many years, for example, my high school letter sweater!  I'm now looking at the program from our fifth grade production of "Oklahoma," and I thought the cast names would be a trip down memory lane for many of you:   Curly, Richard Spitola.  Laurey, Janet Heise. Aunt Eller, Sally Blickens.  Jud, Henry Kaplan.  Ado Annie, Helen Ryan.  Tom, Bob Bishop.  Slim, Joe Sinkewitz.  Fred, Bill Mullen. Ike, Jim Floyd.  Will, Peter Wilson.  Gertie, Dana Wrench.  Joe, Richard Klebez.  Ballet dancer, Jane Kaplan.  Nosey Poke (3), Barbara Blasi, Bonnie VanZile, Elaine Jensen.  Fortune Teller, Susan Cohen.  Ellen, Joyce Luke.   Our director and fifth grade teacher:  Mr. Filacy. (Does anyone remember doing anything else that year?!)

Others:  Script adapted by Dorothy Kovalcik and Sally Blickens.  Lighting by Frank Piampiano and Edward Zielke.  Costumes designed by Jane Kaplan.

I've also got the script, believe it or not.  I think I'll forward that to Dotty Kovalcik, who lives in NYC not far from Tom Bock.

Best wishes, john and Rusty, for good outcomes and swift healing. And a very Happy New Year to fellow classmates. I'm not a frequent contributor here, but appreciate so much having this site, and all of you who share your celebrations and news.

Dale Cocheo (Scharaldi)

John and Rusty, I can relate to your anxiety over your upcoming hip replacements. I had both of mine done  A year apart within the last three years (both done Posteria procedure).  I'm doing fine now as the arthritic pain vanishes upon surgery (of course post surgical pain is expected).  After years of suffering, I should have done it sooner.  My advice is to take your physical therapy very seriously as this is the key to a full recovery. Expect three months of PT. Daily leg lifts prior surgery was very helpful to strengthen quads and hamstrings (unless you're having the Anterior procedure).  Wishing you both a speedy recovery.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year!

Pat, thank you for the wishes of success and rapid healing.  The later is my only concern.
