Hard to believe that Ernie is gone. I started 1st grade at Pennypacker with him and we went right on through together until Jan 60. I was so happy for him when he bought that car last year. My deepest sympathies to Bobbi and his entire family. May he Rest In Peace.
I'm so sad to hear that Ernie's gone. Though we haven't been in touch for a while, I always considered him one of my good Germantown buddies. Thoughts and prayers to Bobbi and his family. He will be missed.

Ernie was such a fun person, full of vitality in high school, and in the years afterwards as we planned our reunion. A complete joy to know. A star dimmed out when he left us.
Ernie was my best friend for many years. I have many memories of the times we spent together. I am enjoyed going to his house across the street from school when we went to Pennypacker. I am thankful for our class reunions that reunited us. I won't forget him
There are some people you think will go on forever. So alive, so dynamic, so full of laughterl For me, he remains clearly in my mind's eye as I think back to our school days and then to our reunion planning and parties. I agree with Arno. What a blessing that we had them.
I cannot stop thinking about this sad news I read last night. Ernie and I went to Pennypacker Elementary School all the way thru to graduating High School together. I have such happy memories of Ernie as I remember him thru the years. Many of them were related to his beloved little Hillman Minx cars ( I think that was the name), Every time he’d get a new one, he’d insist I take a ride in it. He loved these cars!! But Ernie loved everyone. He always had a smile and a happy disposition. He was always a fun person- never an angry word about anyone. I especially loved that he lived next door to my favorite candy/junk store that I spent many an allowance there- all of $.25!!!! He’d always take me over there to buy candy and gum. Oh, the little things I remember. I regret that I hadn’t seen him in many years. Our busy lives got the best of our dear friendship.. . I will miss him and the forever memories I had of his always smiling face. May he Rest In Peace. And Barbara, my heart goes out to you for losing such a gem. With love and sorrow, Betty Gellard Hausman
I had the pleasure of getting to know Ernie later on, as we worked on the reunion committee together. My condolences on his passing. He will be missed.
