75th BD Party Picnic Recap

Event Details

Well, it finally came together.  The 75th Birthday Party Picnic on Saturday was a success.  There were over 100 in attendance, which included classmates, spouses, guests and teachers.  The weather was perfect.  We enjoyed conversations with classmates, music, games and memorializing our veterans and our deceased classmates. We had several classmates who have never been to any of our reunions before.  I hope they will continue to attend future ones. Larry Yancy, again, was our host.  As always he did a great job and many thanks to him for providing all the prizes.  Bill Simon (Sandi DeLellis Simon's husband) provided the music.  My husband, Mark took pictures.  As soon as I gather all the photos, I will put them on the website.  I am not positive, but I am assuming that any of you can post photos on your profile pages if you have ones you would like to share.  We had three teachers and an Assistant Principal come and each shared stories.  One of the teachers, Andi Ehrlich, apparently remembered one classmate quite well and shared her story about him (Dave Linigar). He must have made quite an impression on her to remember it all these years.  We had a 50/50 drawing and Pat Rosendahl Adams won $138 and generously donated half back to our AHS fund.  Sorry that some of you were not able to stay longer and were not able to enjoy our beautiful Birthday Cake.  It was quite yummy.  And also the balloon toss which was the culmination of our event.  A few people got wet and not by accident.  Hope all of you enjoyed the picnic.
