Jeffrey Nelson

For the first years after high school I tried alot of different occupations. My life was a twisted mess after graduation, but in 1971 I started working at Village Inn Pizza and eventually worked my way up to manager. In 1986 I married a lovely Christain girl and came here to Rolla Missouri to study cabinet making. I ended up driving a big rig for twenty-five years, got divorced and finally retired.

In high school I was terribly shy and insecure! After reading through many of the profiles of others on the site it cheers me to learn I wasn't the only one LOL! My favorite teacher was Mr Felton who ran the audio visual department in the library building. He wasn't a teacher actually but he was an excellent mentor. My next favorite would have been Mr Nelson who taught journalism. Setting up sound equipment for the cheerleaders at football games and showing in room movies helped with some of my shyness through the years. My school crushes included Trixie Nelson ( that started back in 5th or 6th grade as I recall), Joyce Thien and of course all the guys had a crush on Lindy Stearman. May longest actual crush was on Linda Howard (class of 68)..I made that poor girls life miserable 😊! And of course I can't leave out Heather Hunt. My best friend Phil King won't be at the reunion though so I doubt I will be there either. It's fun though to read what so many class of 66 graduates accomplished in their lives. Sad too to read about all those who have passed away. Still, I was proud to be a Bobcat, even if I wasn't part of the "In crowd!"
