What's New
3am and a big Aloha birthday to ya. Here in Billings Montana to see our first and only grandson (6 months old….so cute). Visited Yellowstone National Park last month, first time since 1958…..every one should see it.
I’ll slip into town October 5, 2023 even though the 68’ reunion was cancelled. Maybe check out Fenton’s.
I see that 8 bedroom, 8 bath house on Hampton Rd, Piedmont is selling for $14 million….l’ll pass, da place in Hauula Hawaii is our forever home.
Anita finally retired from DMBA and wished she had done it sooner.
Tip of da hat on your special day! Mahalo plenty

Wow laulau, our only son begat a son (first is a two year old girl) named after my dad. Circle of life….
A big Aloha from John Olszowka in Hauula Hawaii. My oldest sister Jeri is visiting from Oakland (first time since 2016) and I’ll spock out Piedmont on my birthday Oct 23.
May you have many more great b-days, I lift a can of coconut water in your behalf on our front porch as I look at the waves. Cheers
Aloha from sunny Hawaii.....I confess I had to tear up the house to find my 1968 Clan-o-log yearbook to look you up and memories flooded back. Perhaps we can talk story if you ever come this way? Frankly I was invisible at PHS.
Aloha from sunny Hawaii....a voice from the dust so to speak...got to Montana Spring 2021 to see our first grand baby girl....was supposed to go Vegas in Nov but our Governor said cancel travel...what a bummer
Anita loves working from home and home office (SLC) says maybe Jan 2022 back to Laie Shopping Center.
Between the internet, Costco, and the public library....life is good
Wishing you well this coming year, Happy Birthday Barb.
So.....after the 2nd Covid shot we flew to Billings April 23, 2021 to see our first grand baby girl (we started late in life) for 3 weeks. Spring was slow in coming. Then a week in Utah.....to get back into Hawaii was not easy, a lot of hoops to jump through.
Wish us luck as we board a non-stop from SLC to HNL
With a 2nd Covid shot on April 7, 2021 there is hope. 1st time grandparents (a baby girl in Montana ye-ha) Tourism is slowly coming back to da Islands......we need those tourist dollars

Kudos for all you do Barb...we continue to shelter in place here in Hawaii. Lucky we redid the interior last Fall (down sized and decluttered). Anita continues to work from the kitchen table and has only been to her DMBA (Laie Shopping Center) office once since March 2020.
Her company is 50 years old today so she hopes to win the “golden ticket” til then, be safe, vote, and may your future be as bright as your faith.
With sadness, my mother of 94 years young passed away Sunday March 1, 2020 at Kaiser Medical Center Oakland CA. My sister Geraldine witnessed her passed in a full body moon suit (virus scare) 50% Hawaiian blood.
Produced a record album called Estherella Sings back in the 60's... now it's on You Tube......track #6 Hawaiian Wedding Song....check it out.

So.......Oct 23, 2019, I turned 69....I refuse to believe it.....though after 49 years of safe driving I had a fender bender last week in Hawaii....
4 weeks ago, visited Utah, Billings Montana (our son's new house, too cold for Anita) then Las Vegas for her medical conference........I did a lucky pull on the $5.00 slots at the Bellagio where we were staying for all of you....but nothing came out. I stamped my feet and shook my head.
Saturday Oct 12, 2019 we got to the Vegas departure Delta gate much to early so we played the Wheel of Fortune slots.....as a Mormon we are told not to gamble.....if I win it's entertainment, if I lose....it's therapy..........I broke even
Anyway, have a great day and a better tomorrow because the best is yet to come.
We were classmates in Beach School (I think he came in 5th grade?), he lived right across from the school so he was never late......tall guy with a little stutter, deep sunked eyes, his sister got a Ford Mustang when they first came out (1964?)....with an Italian background, his mom also worried about him....I can't remember his dad.
After high school he worked in a Government print shop. His mail order bride was from the Phillipines and he came to Hawaii to pick her up, I think he had a daughter.......(7/30/2019) I'll have to wait til I get to the other side and hear the rest of the story and see if my recollections are spot on?
When I saw Scoop's black n' white picture on the slide show at the 50th reunion I remembered his singing and acting in our High School Musical "Guy's and Doll's"
Didn't he have something to do with getting 911 up and running?

I remember one time we had a school dance and the computer was to pick the couples.......Anne was so upset that we were matched, she stayed in the bathroom the whole time....yikes.
