Susan Needell Privett

Married Curt Privett in 1980 and had 3 wonderful boys. Moved to Florida in 1988 right after the birth of my last son, David in 1988. We divorced in 1993 and that is when I became a Little League umpire and worked my way up to Umpire-In-Chief for our local Little League. From there I went on to become one of the first women umpires certified by Babe Ruth baseball in South Florida. While doing that I also became a flag football referee for our local league in West Boca Raton. Unfortunately because of severe back problems I can no longer referee but I am the head ref and take care of scheduling all the refs for all the games, I manage the fields and make the final rulings on calls. I actually helped with some of the rules.
I lost my job that I worked at for 7 years because my boss decided not to approve my vacation request 2 days before I was suppose to fly to Texas to watch my son Brian graduate from basic training for the Air Force. I told him that I was going anyway so he told me I was fired.
I haven't been able to find a job so now I am back in school studying Medical Coding and Billing. I graduate in June so hopefully I will have a job right after that.

Just to let everyone know Brian is getting married in January. I am so proud of him. He is such a great kid....
