Timothy Donnelly, age 66, of Bethel Park, PA, passed away on January 24, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 25, 1958, he was the son of the late Edward and Nancy Donnelly.

Beloved husband of Cynthia McMinn; Loving brother to his twin, John (Marian) Donnelly, Ann Bishoff and Kathy Donnelly; Best friend to Ed Reis; He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Ed Donnelly.

Tim led a life full of love, friendship, and passion. He had an eye for photography, a love for live music, and found peace walking his dogs. His bond with his wife, Cynthia, was a lifelong one—starting when they were just six years old and growing stronger with each passing year.

Tim’s friendships were his foundation — He was extremely proud to have a long-lasting connection with Bill W. and Dr. Bob.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to organizations that provide care for pets in need. All arrangements are entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.

I remember Tim always having a huge smile on his face and when he saw me, and always gave me a big ‘hi’ and would say my name with gusto making me always smile in return. One day, and we were probably only like 10 or 12 years old, you (John) and Tim made a rickety go-cart that was composed of a piece of plywood, 4 wheels, foot controlled steering mechanism and a make-shift brake. We took it to the top of McKee drive and let it fly! As we were heading towards Page Drive at the bottom, the cart lost control and we flipped over off the slanted curve near the large walnut trees by my house. At first, we thought it was so funny laughing our butts off, but then I realized that I wacked my head & shoulder on the curve and I was bleeding down my back. I ran home and my mom took me to the hospital to be checked out. Very memorable experience for sure! I also spent much time up in Hamilton woods, so sad that they are gone too! My condolences to the family!

Thank you Wayne for the kind comments. We rode the cart down every hill and rebuilt it multiple times. How we survived the multiple times we crashed it is remarkable.
